Haven't seen any themes yet that I would personally pay money for, but it's only a matter of time....For the moment, I'll just stick with the plain Red theme

One neat little thing I noticed about the update is that, at least with the default themes, when you turn off the system the music sort of echos a little, which I think was a pretty nice touch.
On one hand, Yoshi is top tier. On the other, I couldn't care less about the background of my 3DS. Choices, choices... Maybe I'll look out for any free ones for a skinflint like myself.

I think the only problem I have with this update is the music. I wish I could use the default music with any theme, not because the music is bad, but because it's bad menu music. I can't imagine hearing the Legend of Zelda theme or the Super Mario Bros. them every time I go to my 3DS' menu, it just doesn't fit and I think it should be more ambient. Take the music for the Mighty Mushrooms theme for example. If the music was slowed down, and had a few instruments changed to something quieter, like maybe some strings, I think it would fit much, much better, but like it is now it seems like it could get annoying.

OMG I didn't know it had music to go with the themes... AND I'm about to spend a very silly amount of money on these now. I'm a sucker for themes!

I do like the themes we have going now. The HOME menu looks a bit better than before now.
I don't think I'll buy the other themes yet, I'll wait for possible Club Nintendo-only themes and such. For now, I'll stick with simple red.

Yeah, that's NintenDaan, and he owns like, every game ever released on the eShop, from all regions. I don't know if he pays for them himself or if someone gives most of them to him, (I know he works for some Nintendo news site) but it's still pretty insane!
Woah! What @Morpheel says is downright true. I went to the eShop lately to browse and the music is the same as the Wii U's
I AM SUPRISED simply because this update's full of surprises and tinkles.
