It'd probably be better to skype or talk on the phone anyway, IME with pokemon voice chat, it's just not as effective for some reason. Cuts out a lot.
Plus, I'm positive everybody here must have some kind of phone or PC with skype on it to communicate with... right?
Yes, and I'm speaking hypothetically here as I'm not interested in this game at all, but one of the fundamental ideas behind the 3DS is that it's portable. I can carry it around my house or my dorm and keep playing. If I have to call my friend over the phone, that defeats the purpose.
You don't have a wireless phone?
I do, but I need 2 hands to play. I don't particularly enjoy holding my phone up to my ear with my shoulder or putting my phone on speaker.
Also, if I want to play the game with headphones, I can't really talk with someone else simultaneously, unless, again, the phone is on speaker. For a handheld game, "just use skype" or "just use a phone" is a lot more complicated.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
One thing I just realized from the gameplay videos is that Green Link has the voice from a Link Between Worlds, while Blue Link has Toon Link's voice. (Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, etc) I think Red Link has Toon Link's voice as well, but I'd have to check the videos again. It would be cool if their voices stay seperate in the full game because it's better than having high/low pitched voices for each Link from Four Swords Adventures.
Has anyone at Best Buy/E3 tried the demo on your own? I'm tempted to get it but I can't be bothered with finding people to play with and apparently you can get the computer to fill in the other Links.
You switch between dolls and do all the work yourself.
I assume they react automatically to things like when you need to push a big rock and stuff, but being dolls... I don't see them moving much on their own.

I have a PC I can communicate with, but I don't have a smart phone, nor do I feel I need one. I do have a regular cellular plan to use with Skype, though.
Does anyone know if this game will have an overworld and exploration elements or if you just go through dungeons? Other than that I think this game looks like a lot of fun, though I do hope it isn't too short either.

I've seen footage of Link walking through a town, so I think there is some overworld exploration involved.
The game supports download play, that's actually a nice surprise.
I feel like this should be a big deal, yet no one seem to respond to it. I am excited that it has download play.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

I am holding off my excitement for when we see how much of the game can be played through download play. Most titles that have supported download play in the past limit the amount of content you can experience. So if I want to experience everything I will need at least 2 copies of the game
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
