This looks quite interesting and comes out next week which is already log jammed. Still I'll keep a close eye on this one. Looks like a cross between Shovel Knight and SteamWorld Dig. At least to me anyways.

Oh and on topic Terraria, I've still not played it despite having the opportunity to on other consoles. I like the idea of it but I think I would rather wait till the Wii U version if it's a good port.
Tried this on a console I never played before the Playstation 3 It was very tedious to sort or switch items and menus also it even tedious to aim and build and destroy those really tiny tiny blocks. Tedious tedious tedious maybe they fix that
Played like 40 hours of this on PC. How does it even work on consoles? It's not like Minecraft where you can just put the camera on an analog stick and be done with it. The cursor is required to be at a variable distance from the player in order to mine, place blocks, cut down trees; almost anything, really.
You know there's videos of both versions I believe already, if you want to see how it works with the stylus. From what I can tell the touch screen/GamePad will have it zoomed in on your character. While the Top/TV screen will have full view.

Keep it PG-13-ish.

I was mainly thinking about how the PS3/Vita controls work, but that makes sense for the 3DS/Wii U. Doesn't sound comfortable by any means, though.
Eh, seems ok-ish to me...as for the other versions...no clue. Guessing they have like a cursor or something that stays next to the character...or something I dunno.
EDIT: Website lagged for a moment there...
@Megumi: @Spoony_Tech: It's like 2D Minecraft, but it's a lot more focused on combat and platforming. You can build (and you will build to get NPCs), but there's no sandbox or peaceful mode like Minecraft. And the game throws these random events from time to time that will invade your spawn point (but not at the beginning). It also has a lot more structure than Minecraft, not in that you can't explore, but that you keep getting better gear which allows you to venture into more dangerous places. Oh and there are a ton of different weapons and several combat styles. A fair warning the beginning is very slow, although experiencing everything for the first time might be enough to get you through it.
It's one of my favorite games and I like it better than Minecraft, but I does have it's share of annoying problems and it's not for everyone. (And I still probably have more playtime in Minecraft, lol)
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
The vita version has an "auto aim" feature where the game selects your target for you or you can use the back touch panel to do it yourself. You can also move the cursor with the other stick, I think.
@Megumi: But do you agree with what I recommend to Spoony_Tech? That's why I @'d you, because it's not quite 2D Minecraft imo. That's just the simple answer.

I've already got Terraria on my Vita and I really don't like it all that much. It takes the boring parts of Minecraft (at least in my opinion - after years of playing MC traditionally that is) and leaves out creative mode which is what I am still playing to this day. Building arenas for me and my friends to fight in, amusement parks, little games etc. That's something that just isn't there in Terraria.

@MasterWario: Thanks for your response and to everyone else as well. I'll wait for reviews for sure as it sounds like controlling may be an issue but to me it looks good on the surface so at the very least it has my interest enough to look further into it.
