Topic: Suprising news about the Collectible Badge Center

Well, I don't think we won't have an international release on the Badge playing game.

But what you DON'T know is that the Badge Center placings has been implemented onto USA and Europe systems already!

You may think this is impossible. But it already is! At least, if you do some shady stuff with your 3ds.

Purchasing stuff won't work though, as it uses Yen.

Well, that certainly is interesting! I was ready to give up on badges for the west, so it's a relief to see it's in the system. And even though that doesn't confirm anything, it at least upholds the possibility. Nice find, mate!

Is really nobody interested in the Collectible Bdge Center anymore? People were losing it because this game had no localization announcements, and even now, some folks mention it as a wasted opportunity, yet nobody talks about it?!

@DefHalan: it's an app where you can play little games to get badges (decorative icons for your 3DSs home menu).

You have a few free tries every day, but you can buy more with real money.

So far it's only available in Japan, but as the op says, its completely implemented in international systems, just impossible to access.

So it is kinda a F2P Mini-Game collection?

It's less about the minigames, and more about the badges.

The games themselves are really simple crane/claw machines-style games.

In a sense, this little game is devilishly brilliant.

On one hand, it's F2P, meaning the appeal will inevitably drive some players to pay for additional atempts. The constant influx of updates with new badges to drool over only amplifies the desire to use more than your small handful of daily free spins. Add to that the innocently charming design, and you got a money pit of the most ruthless variant.
But at the same time, it's an instance of sheer brilliance. Why? Because it makes the dashboard of your 3DS less of a gateway to your actual games, and becomes a sort-of minigame of its own. The ability to recreate famous scenes from Super Mario Bros., gather your favourite Animal Crossing characters, or simply make your HOME menu a bit nicer to look at gives it a level of depth that still only limits itself to visual appeal, but goes beyond simple backgrounds. No other console does this (not even WiiU), instead limiting the dashboard to it's practical purpose. Suddenly, your HOME menu is capable of being fun!

Even if some people don't like the idea, the concept behind it is immensely appealing. Collect things, decorate with things, be creative with things - people love collectibles that are usable beyond showing off. I certainly hope this is going to make it here after all, and I genuinely believe that the potential success is extremely high! Even I would probably be dumb enough to sacrifice some eShop balance leftovers for this (if I REALLY want certain badges)!

The reason why NA has not got the badge center or Anime channel yet is NA is the worst place to game.What do they do up there at NOA.

Totally, much worse than any of those other countries where games cost three times more and those others where many games never get released.

Nothing on the front page about it though.
