Topic: Super Smash Bros. for 3DS takes forever to knock someone out

I haven't played this game as much as Smash Bros. Melee on the GameCube, so I'm not that used to it. I also never played the Wii U version, nor Smash Bros on the Switch. I'm just wondering why does it take so much longer to knock out an enemy in the 3DS Smash Bros. game then it does in Melee? Does anyone know the exact reason why this is?

To be more specific, in Melee, once someone reaches around 75% or 100% damage, it is very easy to take them off the screen. In this 3DS Smash Bros. game, it takes a lot more than that, it takes over 200% damage to knock them out.

Probably because smash 4 is just more of a slower paced game overall with launch speed being way slower than melee or ultimate.

Currently Playing: Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and whatever else I feel like playing

It did take longer but I never had to much of a problem KOing I would kill around 90 at the most.
