Topic: SpotPass is a joke. Let's be honest.

True, I do love me some coffee. I've been to Starbucks more times than I can count, and the last time I played (much less brought it) my DS was, um never actually. I also haven't seen that many kids in there as of late.

Well I bring my DSi EVERYWHERE (Only person I know who does)

Spot pass is just updates yeah? So it doesnt matter if its a "joke" But street pass... even though I live in a densely populated area I probably wont get much from it.

actually it's not just updates. It's more along the lines of additional content as explained at E3. The best example is that the Professor Layton game for 3DS will have a new puzzle released every day for a year after it's release.

i thought spotpass was when you pass a person with a 3DS you exchange info or something like that.

Stickers > SpotPass in terms of "give a **** o meter"

At this point, Nintendo's streetpass is an equivalent of quickly dispersing DLC. If you don't like DLC, then you won't like it but please give me a reason as to why you think it's pathetic. Otherwise i'll just think you have irrational presuppositions.

Calm down guys,it's just a joke.I am still gonna buy it even when it dosen't have Spotpass.
@Iz2009 I Have a router so you don't need to tell everyone to buy a internet router for that.

Actually who are we to talk we haven't even tried SpotPass yet, so none of us would know. _{except Corbs}

Use SpotPass at your home's Wi-Fi connection, use StreetPass on the streets....

It is very much a Japanese thing. Carrying around a handheld at all times is pretty uncommon around here and having it on standby even more so. Even going through a big city, I'd be very surprised if I ever find more than a few people to connect to. It's a cool idea, I'll give them credit for that.. I just don't see it being used at all outside of Japan.
