Topic: SEGA 3D Classics - Options explanation

SEGAs range of 3D classics offer a wide array of aditional options. Take Sonic for example: Game region (International / Japanese), Emulation Setup (Genesis / MegaDrive 1 or 2)
But is there any way to really find out what exactly any of these options change ? The digital manual only mentions that the options are there. Maybe a SEGA enthusiast knows what they are talking about, but i mostly have no clue
And im not talking just about Sonic, but thats the game i had running in the background at the moment

Japan version of sonic:

Awards you a life for every 50,000

More layers in the background in some levels

No spike glitch like the international one has

PSG Sound emulation:

Genesis 1 is the Genesis
While Genesis 2 is actually the megadrive PSG emulation

I wish they had the Arcade sound. (Uses the real yamaha stuff not a clone.)

The Arcade version of the Game would have been nice also.

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.

What I want to know is how to set Galaxy Force 2 to the closest to the actual arcade controls.

@unrandomsam Since i have no idea what the arcade cabinet looked like controlls wise, i cant compare it.
But the controlls are fairly customizable. You can even set up the Circle Pad Pro and map ts aditional shoulderbuttons and the second nub.
I set mine up like that: Steel = Left nub, Bost/Break = right nub, primary weapon = ZR, Missiles = ZL
