if i get x or y on nintendo eshop can i download the game to 2 difrent sd cards and that way have 2 save files?

it says cant use it as backups.. Im not planning as backups im talking about using one sd card to store a buncha pokemon i trained and do some poke breeding on it. And the other for playthroughts.

And for the third time, the answer is NO you cannot have two separate saves with the same eshop version of pokemon.

If he has power saver he can do it without corrupting his data, a few ppl on Facebook were able to do it.
