@Meowpheel So, wait — are you guys on the global release date or the EU release date? I haven't kept tabs on your racists' political agendas (note the plural possessive).

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

Eel

The site is European, so that means we are all Europeans while on here.

Probably.

Maybe.

Anyway, by that I mostly meant story spoilers. We don't want to ruin the story for others.

I wonder, how do HMs work this time? Especially Surf, because..

I know there's a couple of places that require Strength, but since the HMs are gone, you need a Machamp to push the boulders, they're just optional items, but that's even more restricting than HMs.

@Octane @Tsurii

Pokeride COMPLETELY replaces HMs.

You ride tauros for rock smash, (sharpedo for rock smash in water)
You fly with charizard (idk if old fly still works)
You surf with lapras/ sharpedo i guess
And I believe machamp is for strength

You can call pokerides at literally anytime like eon flute without using up a party slot. Just like in the demo you can pokeride in your main menu and just select tauros, its that easy.

Unfortunately, Charizard acts like Fly and not like Soar... D:

ARRGH!!! The Goomy and Shieldon lines are exclusive to Pokemon Moon, and I'm getting Sun!!! I'm not changing my preorder, but that's a huge bummer for me.

Also... am I correct in saying there are no NEW fossil Pokemon, and that Leafeon and Glaceon STILL evolve based on location?

What's the best game to get? It's been a long time since I've been here and I needed some help deciding which one to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@kereke12 Pokemon Sun and Moon are set 12 hours apart. Sun follows your 3DS internal clock, while Moon is ahead (or behind, not sure which) 12 hours, so it is night in Moon when it is Day in Sun. The story is also slightly different, with Solgaleo being the legendary in Sun and Lunala being the legendary in Moon, among other things such as different Pokemon in the first Trial on Melemele Island. Finally, there are exclusive Pokemon, including the Legendaries and some Ultra Beasts.

@LegendOfPokemon If you don't want to know yet, don't click the spoiler

You're 100% correct, gen 2 didn't have fossils to be fair though. Infact vikavolt evolves by location now (level up near "electric rock"? dunno where that is..)
