Well folks, while I'm allowing myself to be somewhat spoiled (mainly for team building), I'm trying to avoid any further spoilers in regards to the story and a few of the features. While everyone has overall been doing a great job hiding things behind spoiler tags, I'm gonna stop visiting this thread for a bit. I won't be picking up Sun for at least a couple of months for various reasons (part of it being backlog reasons), so have fun with your copies while I placidly sit in oblivious darkness.

With the last 2 pokemon games I have bought, both of them were stuck in the English mode but I wanted to set them to Spanish but never could, does anybody know if there´s a way to play sun & moon with different languages because the demo gave you the option but that might of been because it was downloadable, if anybody has an answer it would be much appreciated
1. If I get a Rockruff or Cosmoem in Sun and trade it to Moon, which form will they evolve into?
2. Are the Legendaries /Ultra Beasts (including the Cosmog line) shiny locked?
3. Does anyone know how many Pokemon are in each Island Dex?
4. Has anyone tried to shiny reset for a starter? If so, how long did it take?
5. Finally, is it possible to get any of the 302 Pokemon that aren't in the Alola Dex using QR codes or something?
1. Its version exclusive, they will evolve strictly based on your version and there is no way to evolve them into their counterparts.
2. Yes, all tapus, UBs, mythicals, and box legends are shiny locked this gen

4. No one tried yet but the shiny odds are the same as any other pokemon. Infact it would take longer this gen because there is a very long (5 minute) cutscene prior to picking your starter from the soonest save point. (something annoying for me since I'll soft reset until popplio is female). Usually soft resets for starters take weeks or months so the day before release/on release is a bit of a stretch to ask that.
5. Not through offical QRs but like oras hacked QRs do work. It would depend on what pokemon TPC makes for QRs on an event basis. We will have to wait until pokebank's update in February, and if you're in a hurry for the shiny charm you unlock the shiny charm by just completing the alolan dex this time

Did you buy them used? When I booted up my physical copy (new), it gave me the option of selecting any language, but I don't think you can change it afterwards. At least, not mid game, I don't know if starting a new game will give you the option.
I think I may also leave the thread for a while, probably around a week or so. I'm avoiding spoilers, so when practically the entire last page of posts are blocked out, well...
i was able to download it last night after midnight. i'm just waiting to play my copy when my boys' get theirs and the other two copies are shipping today so should be here by monday hopefully.
