@Meowpheel Okay, now I see it's the same as on another forum I frequent. I didn't know how to before. @Tsurii Sorry! But... the way I interpreted it was kinda helpful and relevant?
Again, I genuinely appreciate the usage of spoiler tags here
Lol, but that being I still check the around the thread out of curiosity and so far I think I have managed to avoid the majority of things uncovered since the demo data mines... Though a couple things have slipped through the cracks for me.
I don't think the game will be that good. The demo failed to impress me, and if its anywhere close to as poorly optimised as I think it is, I'm not optimistic about the purchase and it becomes pure obligation instead of want.
Hang on, hang on. Lemme spoiler tag this totally important information:
But since historically anything I dislike ends up being popular, and vice versa, youre very welcome for this excellent product.

So from what I've watched on YouTube regarding these games, they're VERY good in the plot department. They also feel genuinely like a JRPG. I know some may not like that, but I love it. These are shaping up to be my favorite Pokemon games, especially when it comes to replay value. The post game content is also pretty good (not too much to the point it feels crammed in like ORAS, and not too little like XY). My major problem with X and Y was that the main game wasn't worthy of being replayed (even without an EXP share the game felt pretty easy even compared to past titles) because the locations didn't really didn't offer much when you went to them, and the story was practically non-existent (which made the lack of any real post game sting even more). Here, the story is actually really good (in my opinon), so I can see myself replaying this until a better game comes along.
@BLP_Software If you aren't feeling it, then why buy? Why is it "obligatory"? I skiped B2W2 and ORAS; nobody's going to condemn you for not getting something that you're not interested in.

@CrazedCavalier YouTube content, buying a copy for my woman anyhow, reviews for a few people and because it can, and will, be a point of discussion in university for marks towards my degree, namely under how franchises can thrive and support instalments across multiple formats and mediums (POkemon Go) and probably as a wonderful discussion about how bad Nintendo is. God I hate my degree.
But why do that when I'm not feeling it? Because I'm already well over £25,000 in, aint spent all that for nothing

@CrazedCavalier Anti--Nintendo establishment for learning Game Design. Hardware is poor quality, not powerful enough for anything they teach, games aren't worth it, and the market is PC and Sony, maybe Microsoft if we are lucky.
Pokémon will have a sales impact, without doubt, so knowing the game and having played it is a good way to at least try and make a point in discussion that there is value within that market. Not that they'll listen.

I'm genuinely surprised to see people saying B/W was the worst Pokemon gen. The writing was fantastic. A memorable antagonist (N), well-developed characters, good world-building, Team Plasma was interesting and posed moral questions about the trainer/Pokemon relationship, etc. X/Y are incredibly bland by comparison.
I guess the difference is that I don't play these games competitively.
Currently Playing: Yakuza 0: Director's Cut (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
@Ralizah It's not even the competitive side complaining. It's "muh designs" and "urgh edgy anime JUNK".
5th gen seems to have that polarizing effect on a lot of people.
@CrazedCavalier just avoid using profanity. I bold and capitalize the correction so the user can notice something was changed, so don't worry, I wasn't trying to be sassy or anything.
@shaneoh Exactly! My experience is quite similar to yours, I got my legendaries through global link. Getting a competitive timid shiny charizard with dragon pulse was way more difficult than any legendary.
@CrazedCavalier Don't worry, I used to talk like a sailor, but then I met Meowpheel and the others and... well I still talk like a sailor, just not here.
I mean, at best Tortunator and Drampa are equally ugly and Lycanroc's midnight form is moderately more interesting than the midday one. Other than that, Ninetails all the way!
