@CrazedCavalier The trailer drops usually have separate info actually. The stuff revealed in CoroCoro is meant to be an exclusive scoop.

@Joeynator3000 Probably not. I think that you need to trade them over from gen VI games if that works? Or send them over from Red or Blue.

I'm sure they'll do SOMETHING about it...like, maybe...a form switching machine...or an Alolan Berry...or....MAGIC! TwT

I don't think it makes much sense for Cubone not to have a Alolan form but Marrowak has one...

I'm pretty sure it does have one, they just haven't shown it off yet....Like with Ratatta, they eventually showed us Raticate.

But we have already seen normal Pikachu in Alola, which would mean they would have both versions

@Joeynator3000 We've seen both normal Pikachu and Cubone evolve into Alolan Raichu and Marowak.
Compare to Alolan Vuplix and Ninetails, who were revealed at the same time, and Alolan Ratatta/Raticate, with the base form being revealed first and the evolution being revealed second.
TL;DR I seriously doubt Pikachu and Cubone have Alolan forms.

@Joeynator3000 @CrazedCavalier All the Pokemon we've seen so far in the trailers appear in the Pokedex as they are. I have no proof, but that's how it's always been, you can take my word for it.

As for Pikachu. We've seen a regular Pikachu, therefore it's safe to say that there won't be an Alolan Pikachu. We know for example that Pichu (non-Alolan) is encountered on the first route, so we know for sure that non-Alolan to Alolan evolutions are a thing.

I compare them to split evolutions, but a bit closer. Sure there's no Alolan Cubone, but there doesn't have to be. We've seen Poliwhirl evolve into two different Pokemon, so imagining a Pokemon evolving into different forms depending on the environment isn't that big of a stretch. Maybe it doesn't make much sense from a logical real-world perspective. But from an in-game perspective it does make sense.

It's really quite simple.

A. If (1st Stage Pokemon) has an Alolan form, then (Its 2nd Stage Evolution) will have an Alolan form.

B. If (1st Stage Pokemon) doesn't have Alolan form, (Its 2nd Stage Evolution) may still have an Alolan form.

We've seen case A with Vulpix, Sandshrew, and Rattata — we can assume with Meowth that Persian will have an Alolan form as well.

We've seen case B with Pikachu, Exeggcute, and Cubone. However, I remember seeing footage of these Pokemon specifically evolving into their evolutions' Alolan forms, so I think it's safe to say we won't be seeing Alolan forms of their 1st stages.

It's also worth noting that every 1st stage Alolan form has been revealed before or at the same time as its respective evolution's Alolan form.

I kind of hope tomorrow's news drop is a localization of what we've seen from the CoroCoro leaks. I REALLY hope Lugarugan's forms aren't version exclusive.

I also hope that there's some new info that we don't know about.

@Tyranexx I doubt anything in CoroCoro will be in tomorrow's trailer. If it does, it's more likely to be UB-02 Beauty and UB-02 Expansion than Lugarugan

@IceClimbers: Possibly not, but one can hope. XD I want access to both of Lugarugan's forms without trading.
