The story aims to be the most unique we've had yet. That's quite a step up from X/Y.

And the 12 hour difference, while cool, shouldn't be a defining factor since you can just change your 3DS time and play it the way you want.

Well that settles it, I'm getting Moon. I hope there's still a day / night cycle in the post game, though.

Between Type: Null and UB-01 they've broken through the glass floor for terrible names. I like the new designs, but these fools are getting nicknames.

And Pokemon Snap makes a comeback!?

@Haru17 Day/Night cycle is a thing, but for Moon it will be 12 Midnight at 12 Noon in real-time. The Japanese trailer shows it being day in moon.

@Haru17 There's always a day-night cycle in both games, Moon's time of day will be offset by 12 hours. If you're playing during the day, it's night in Moon and if you're playing at night, it's day in Moon.

Interestiiiiiiing. Moon will be like playing a game set in another time zone. I wonder if there won't be time of day DRM.

Also, Wicke (or should I say .. Wicked!) totally looks like a young Dolores Umbridge, which automatically makes her and her organization completely evil.

I wonder if we'll get a UB-40..

The name Vicia doesn't make her any more trustworthy.

@Tsurii @Meowpheel Faba is actually a species of bean too; Vicia faba, also known as broad beans. There's definitely a connection. Fabaceae is also the family of all bean plants. Thinking about it; a Lily is a plant too. Either that's just the common naming theme of all the characters, just like the professors are often named after trees, or there's some hidden connection between those characters.

The members of team skull are also named after flowers.

Faba looks like a more attractive Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

And now looking at it, Faba's goggles are bean shaped.

Long ago, before Sun and Moon were unveiled, didn't the creator give the word 'flowers' as a hint for what the next gen would be?

I was going to get moon but I feel like getting moon is a bit of an inconvienance.. I wanted moon cause the legend looked better, and if lurantis was version exclusive (looks almost confirmed it would be since gumshoos seems to be version exclusive trial wise and lurantis is a totem pokemon) then I'd have a better chance at getting that..

But the constant nighttime actually turns me off. Yes it cycles to day just instead at night, but I like the bright colors of the environment I'm looking at instead the gloomy dusk at night all the time while I play. Sometimes I would adjust the clock on my 3DS during shiny breeding just because I wanted the game brighter while I hatch.

I could just do the same for Moon but assuming time base events are effected by the 3DS clock it would just be a pain to wait 24 hours for timed events just so my game is more appealing to look at.

The story mode in daytime doesn't particularly interest me much anyway, once I beat the game the post game will end up with me having everything anyway and competitively breeding, so I guess I'll just have to sacrifice the legend, potential moon exclusives, and trial exclusives just to have a better long term view of the game afterward when it doesn't matter anymore.

I often end up playing at night, so this will be a refreshing change of scenery.

Bingo. Every time I come back to older games for a Nuzlocke or whatever, I always find myself bringing up that I barely see the game during the day in full color, and "who the heck wakes up in the morning to catch [insert Pokemon here]?". Thankfully it's usually just spawn rates and not the Pokemon disappears all together.

So for me this is just another check on the list for Pokemon Moon. The whole idea makes for a interesting juxtaposition as well; like you can tell people are playing different versions just by looking at the screen.
