@Rikaria According to some, Hoopa Unbound is actually stage 450, with Mega Tyranitar being stage 420.

Also, the new stages now have a chance of dropping Personal Skill Boosters. That's presumably the reason for the repeats.

EDIT: Sorry, that's me being only half awake...

Finished somewhere between 300 and 400 in the competition, yay. Now I'm going through the Cresselia EB. There are COIN STAGES!

I'm also probably going to be giving Entei a couple of RML's this week and level it up in order to be ready for next week's competition. They say in the notices that Entei is recommended for next week's Mega Steelix comp, so I guess it's good to be prepared in advance.

Oh man, I guess I need to start playing the regular stages. >_> Let me know once you know how Mega Tyranitar's mega ability works because that sounds interesting.

@Nego: I've already seen it. During BOTH Moves-based and Timed stages, the screen "freezes" for a few seconds. During that time you can tap up to three spots, and the icons removed will be in a plus shape (the icon tapped plus one icon in each direction, so you basically can remove up to 15 icons). That being said, you don't HAVE to tap up to three or even tap at all.

I'm wondering if this will be banned in competitions because that's like a really long pause buffer.

Oh wow. Sounds pretty cool actually.

I think it might get banned at least in competitions where you need to match up fast in order to get the x1.5 multiplier. Could be they are not banning it though.

Either way I guess I need to get M Tyranitar soon enough.

Damn!! I forgot my main 3DS home, and I'm now at New York. Thankfully my fall-back 3DS is with me.

Went to the Nintendo NYC, and I saw something that is supposed to not exist: a New Nintendo black 3DS, US version. I offered to purchase it, but no dice. As soon as I asked for it, a clerk(woman) told me that yes, it was a fluke that they have it on dicplay for people to play with it. She took it down, but no before grabbing a pic of it.

I'm assuming that only these new stages will be dropping personal skill boosters. I wish the game would be more clear about these things.

Full list of all the new(-ish) Main Stages: https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAADAAB2V0eovvBS2w

Cresselia's repeat EB mostly uses the same data from her original run, but of course there's some new stuff as well. At any rate, here's a list of her notable Levels:

☆5: 1 Moves +5 as reward
☆10: 1 Disruption Delay as reward
☆30: 1 Mega Start as reward
☆35: Coin stage
☆50: 1 Skill Swapper as reward
☆55, 75, and 95: Coin stages
☆100: 1 Mega Speedup as reward
☆150 and 200: 1 Raise Max Level each as reward

So according to the Japanese site for this game, the following stages have been nerfed:

120: Mega Glalie
135: Mega Gengar
150: Mega Mewtwo Y
195: Doublade
210: Mega Heracross
216: Gothorita
220: Vivillon
228: Gothitelle
229: Sliggoo
238: Gardevoir
240: Mega Medicham
249: Aromatisse
250: Roserade
259: Exploud

If what someone I know said is true, here's what's known so far:

Mega Glalie and Mega Gengar have Mega Mawile's HP
Mega Mewtwo Y: 11,111 HP > 7,777 HP
Vivillon: 22k > 16k
Gardevoir: 16k > 11k
Mega Medicham: 32k > 22k
Roserade: 14k > 8k
Exploud: 16k > 13k

Okay so, no point for me to go past level 100 on Cresselia. Cool.

Good news on Gardevoir getting nerfed. I still haven't been able to catch it even without items. Same goes for Aegislash but of course they couldn't nerf it... I've spent way too many coins on that stupid pokemon and yet every single time it escapes all my great balls no matter how high the percentages are.

@Nego Well, now I know that shiny M-Gyarados are not getting the MS I saved...

Just beat Cresselia lvl 50 itemless with 1 move left. M-Gengar (max), Zoroark (lvl 13, skilled 3/5), Hoopa Confined (lvl 7) and Darkrai (max). Darkrai was the key to keep Cresselia from activating barriers and Hoopa helped with some barriers. Solosis appears as a falling Pokemon and I haven't catch it yet (secondary 3DS). Zoroark' s skill activated a couple of times.

maceng

FriedSquid

@maceng Actually it's Duosion, not Solosis, that appears as a falling Pokemon.

Edit: err, nevermind... It appears that if you bring Solosis or Duosion, it will just spawn the other anyway. And if you bring both Duosion and Solosis, it spawns Reuniclus. Fun...

Yeah, this is one of the stages that you shouldn't bring the falling Pokemon, as it is not a disruption.

Levels 90-99 are giving me trouble. They are beatable without items but oftentimes the disruptions just make it impossible to beat without a pokemon that can destroy barriers.

@Nego I have been trying some underleveled Pokes with M-Gengar ever since Lv50, and I'm currently at around Lv95. Hoopa Confined is really great for getting rid of barriers. Unless it's luck or my imagination, it seems to trigger Barrier Bash+ often even only with 3-icon matches.

@FriedSquid Yes it does. I haven't measure it exactly, but it is like 50% chances for a 3-icon match.

I'm currently at level 128 after maxing Hoopa Confined (using Darkrai, M-Gengar and Zoroark, all maxed).

maceng

Akane

@FriedSquid I'm not even close to getting Hoopa Confined. >.>

I did get to level 101 though and I stopped there.

Now I've been going through the previous batch of new main levels while also grinding Meowth for coins. Is it just me or is there an awful lot of stages you cannot clear without items in that batch?

If you are referring to the 350-400 batch, about half of them I did itemless. Only 5-6 required more than a +5 Moves and not even M-Scizor required a full item run (for the S-ranking, yes it did).

I'm at 380 and I feel like at least every other level in between 365-380 has needed some items. >.>

End of the line for me... 161+ is nearly impossible unless you REALLY know how to plan your moves... or use items almost 40 times (unless you get skips)...

I beat 161 and 162 with a Moves +5 and Disruption Delay. Luckily, Cresselia got angry so I skipped another 4 stages. I'm hoping that 171-190 will at least be a little easier. It's not really worth all this trouble for a single RML.

I've tried the Entei stage twice, and he's easy enough to beat itemless, but I didn't get any items out of him.
