Topic: People who use legendary Pokemon online

Legendary pokemon always have at least 3 perfect IVs, couple that with the pokemon hability Synchronize and you'll get the perfect mewtwo or zynegarde in a few resets.

Whenever I battle someone and see their team is all legendaries, I know I'm gonna win lol

Most of the people who only use legendaries don't EV train them at all.

Even then, the legendary pokemon are not that powerful. I still manage to defeat them without using any on my team.

It depends on their strength: if they're considered "Ubers", you're confronting a much powerful Poké than your counterpart. If they are "Overused", you have to be prepared to deal with them. When you're playing online battles, you'll find a lot of Tornadus, Cresselias and Latios. They're not a problem as long as you have another OU pokémon Forget about it and enjoy

PS: On the other hand, Mewtwos, Yveltals and Xerneas... I don't understand why the game lets them being used online. Aren't they considered Ubers?

@Reborn You're talking about the Smogon community metagame rules. Those rules apply when battling with the Smogon community or now with many other communities following it these days. Gamefreak didn't create them though, lol. The reason they're allowed online is because you possibly played set level 50 with no restrictions.

@Marakuto You're totally right, GameFreak didn't create them. Though I was talking about them because of their importance when playing with someone in an amateur tournaments and (un)official events. And yes, I played set loevel 50 with no restrictions, mystery solved Thanks!!

Yeah, in Battle Spot they are not allowed. Though they may, one day, do a special battle that is legendaries, or even legendaries only.

I personally disagree with the Ubers online. But i consider it more of a challenge. More ways to expand your strategies and technique.

haha I love when people use Legendaries with clumsy movesets that don't cover certain types, they always ragequit after missing the first hit!!! it feels so good!

oh and I say F word to smogon, no one can say how I'll play, if I want to use weak Pokémon let me use. if I want to use overpowered ones it's your problem for either not letting me know you don't want me to(for friends) or chosing battle rules that allow them(for strangers)
though the only legendary I feel like using is Lugia but I never had one(or if I had it was in Pokémon Crystal and I don't remember anymore)

You don't use them because they are a super cheap win.

Hacked pokemon are the only problem, which they've fixed. legendaries should be able to batle online. Thats like saying strong people shouldn battle online.

In battle spot I saw someone using them? He was using Ylvetal, Xerneas, Darkrai and Zygarde

Smogon tells you how you can and cannot play if you play with their community. Gamefreak likewise tells you what you can and cannot do when you play with their rules. Yes, someone is telling you how you'll play. Smogon's rules are better, more balanced, and the division of tiers makes playing more fun, period.
