@Morpheel: I never thought of doing that! Thanks, it worked! Sadly I had one more beetle left to get (the top left one) and I couldn't seem to get it between the claws. Bah. Don't want to buy any plays as it's the only badge I want and I don't want any of the other ones. Other than 1 Gameboy, I have ALL the pixel badges that's not video game related aside from that ONE measly beetle. It will come back again so I can try my luck next time.
Got four free plays today! With those, I managed to grab the Kicks, Isabelle, Dr. Shrunk, and Digby faces! I got Brewster's face yesterday, so that makes the set complete!
I got the Totakeke face (and a rabbit 'cause I had to get it first) 'cause I like him and all, but I actually don't like disembodied heads so I doubt I will ever use it.
This is seriously addictive stuff... have not spent a single £ yet filled my background with some wonderfully crazy chaos... Not sure there's much point in reviewing something like this unless your gonna play it for afew months first.
I couldn't resist adding the Monkey Watch monkey to my home screen: I used to have the captain up there, but I didn't want to move any of my other apps around.
I've stopped badge collecting for the most part. I can't bother open the game knowing it'll take so long. The wait wouldn't be that bad if the music was better but what happens literally everytime is that I start humming Nintendo Land theme, turn the sound on and then I get disappointed because it's not the same music. I don't know why I do it and I can't stop. After waiting for 5 minutes it's time to play and half of the time the playing time is around 5 minutes too. I like the badges but I don't like the app. I have nothing against the crane game mechanic. The long loading time, bad music and short play time just make it an unenjoyable experience for me.
Check out my Gaming Nonograms thread here on Nintendo Life if you are into Picross or other similar games.
@Late: For me, the time between pressing the home menu button and the bunny talking is 42 seconds. That's using a New 3DS XL; I dunno how long a standard model would take, but I find that the 42 seconds isn't too long. Either I wait it out, or I usually check my phone in that time.
I have an original launch 3DS and it almost always takes a couple of minutes to load for me, too. (Well, I think it probably just feels that long when I just sit and watch it. It probably is only about a minute or so.) I usually just hit A, set it down somewhere, and go do something else and come back in a couple minutes to play it.
I spent maybe $30 on this game when I first realized it existed. Now I really hate to even load the game. It takes 5 minutes before I can start the app and get the free plays (if any) in the catcher, and often I don't even get a single badge in the end. I think I have around 350 badges but I don't do anything with them. I just have butterflies and metroids for decoration and it's probably going to stay that way for a long time.
My 3DS has the best Nintendo 3DS browser games. 2011-2019.

I wish there was a badge arcade launcher badge to go with the other launcher badges. Having a badge arcade bunny badge would be a lot more cute on my home screen then the square badge arcade icon, in my opinion.
The 3DS just doesn't have the capability to load so much stuff online AND from the SD card quickly. As far as online goes, it must be a power thing, but does the same go for SD card reading? I've always felt that it reads from the SD card sooo slowly, when other devices I own do it almost instantly.
