Yeah I just got to pick and choose, who I hang out (as with here) I know the first person I meet probably won't become my best friend or even like me, and as I know not everyone I meet will like the stuff I do, I also know not everyone will hate what I like. I have about the same chance there (with the right amount work) as I do here.

@LordOtakWiiU Not really sure what you're referring to...
Anyway, a lot of the people that I met that came to Japan really thought they were going to like it, but its got its problems just like any other country. And sometimes the things you like when you first come turn out to be things you hate later on, and you get new interests that you never thought about before. The people and culture take a lot of getting used to as well. Like I said, its complicated. A lot of friends that I came with when I first got here already went back to their countries.

Is this discussion finished? I have some questions about the online. Does it connect and receive data when playing a DS game?
No not normal DS games just VC/3DS games

@LordOtakWiiU I see. I'm on a binge right now. I take my 3DS everywhere with me to see how many puzzle pieces I can pick up. I've got tons of new ones this past week.

@Dizzy_boy I just started getting the Kirby puzzle.
Oh, big update! I'm on summer break (as are a lot of people) and I've been getting so many new puzzle pieces. Here's what I have:
Metroid (finished)
Mario & Koopa (Finished)
Mario Galaxy 2 (Finished)
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (Finished)
Kirby (Finished)
Pikmin (Finished)
NSMBWii (Finished)
Zelda Ocarina 3D (Finished)
Star Fox 3D (Finished)
Super Mario 3D Land (Finished)
Mario Kart 7 (Halfway)
みんなのリズム天国 (Everybody's Rhythm Heaven - Finished)
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Halfway)
Pilot Wings Resort (Finished)
Parutena's Mirror (New Kid Icarus - Finished)
Fire Emblem Kakusei (Finished)
Mario Tennis Open (Finished)
Kirby 20th Adventure (Just started)
5分の鬼トレーニング (5 minutes oni-training - Just started)
And here's the big news. In Japan there's been some new promotions, I don't know if other countries are getting this too. I got some pieces when I went to a McDonald's, so my new one is マックでDS ビッグマック (Big Mac). I'm not sure what this will look like when finished.
Also, ANA has a temporary promotion for a limited edition puzzle. ANAでDS. Its a puzzle of one of the newer ANA planes. That one must look cool. I'm actually going to be stopping at Haneda airport on my way to Tokyo next weekend. Who knows, maybe I'll pick it up.

@LordOtakWiiU haha, you sound confused. The McDonald's puzzle is fairly easy to get, since you just have to go to a McDonald's to get the initial piece. Its a photo-realistic puzzle. I'd say I can upload a pic of it, but I don't have the whole thing yet myself, and there are a few swimming around. If anyone wants me to link it here I can, just ask I don't know about other countries, but in Japan all Mcdonald's restaurants are equipped with Nintendo Zone connectivity. Usually its Pokemon or other younger player-geared activities, but this Big Mac puzzle, which started on the 3rd of this month here, is a new thing.
The ANA puzzle is harder, as its only available in 3 locations in the country. I thought its funny that when I was researching it, I found that Narita airport is not one of the locations. For those that know, its obvious, but Narita is THE huge international airport in Japan, whereas Haneda and the other 2 smaller airports are mostly domestic. Its a pain to take a special trip to the airport 3DS kiosk just for a puzzle piece.

We have Nintendo zone at McDonalds, but I doubt I can get the BigMac piece there, I'll go there just to check. Be back in a little and I'll tell you.

Just got the NSMB2 puzzle. While looking at the releases for the next few months, I think its for certain that a Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion 2, though I'm hoping for a Layton puzzle as well.

So, I looked over the new first-party releases, to see what kinds of games were candidates for new puzzles.
In Japan we have:
Calciobit
Culdcept
New Art Academy
Wagamama Fashion Girls Mode
And of course Luigi's Mansion and Paper Mario Sticker Star (I think that's what its called in English) would get their own. I'm not sure about the previous four. Out of those, I think New Art Academy would be the most likely to get a puzzle, though in Japan, Calciobit is really popular, and that would make a cute puzzle.
I like the whole puzzle swap thing, though I wish they'd release new ones more often. It makes traveling with my 3DS more fun. I've finished them all though

Nintendo shouldn't have made it so you HAVE to use StreetPass just to complete some puzzles. I have most of them, but only the non pink ones (with the exceptions being Ocarina of Time and Kid Icarus: Uprising) are actually finished. And since I don't really go anywhere much, I don't have many opportunities. Even though I take my 3DS with me every time I go out, I'd still be very lucky to get just one StreetPass. But even then, the person doesn't not have a new puzzle piece. The last time I was able to get a pink piece was several months ago; it's incredibly frustrating.
Oh, and @Dizzy_Boy there is a Fire Emblem puzzle? Is it Japan only? Because I've never heard of it. Sure would like to have it though, even if I wouldn't be able to finish it.
@WingedFish as long as FE13 comes out everywhere else, Ninty will most likely release the puzzle. :3

I don't know. I live in Japan, and just walking to the store I would get like 5-6 new puzzle pieces a day from people. I usually connect with nearly a dozen if I go to the mall, or especially if I go to a game center or on of the other really busy areas of my town. If I go to Tokyo, I'm likely to get 15-20. I finished all the puzzles pretty quickly. They wanted people to travel with their 3DSs, and in Japan, people do. I guess its a cultural thing.
I know the US has 50 states, and Canada has 13 provinces. Japan has 47 prefectures. Just for a reference, I never really go outside the Kanagawa/Tokyo area, but I already connected with people from 32 of the prefectures. That's how easy it is to connect with people here (Spotpass you said its called in English?). I think so far I have 600+ Miis in my Mii centre (not sure what its called in English, we call it Mii Hiroba).
