Has anyone heard of more special edition new 3ds xl's coming? I got the zelda one to replace my mario an luigi dream team 3ds xl model, and looking to upgrade the wife's 3dsxl and hoping something Mario related is coming soon.
Absolutely love the stable 3d on the new model!!!
Thanks,
Scott
Who knows, there could be a special Mario P&D edition when that releases next month. Until a game releases with Mario in it I doubt we will see a Mario one though.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Im stupidly impressed by how that terrible/Stiff stick works so well O_o the moment i oepn up the console and tried it i said "Oh boy, this sucks", then i tried MH4, Xenoblade and Revelations and was like "WTF, how does this thing works this well?" Of course its not a real analog stick, but its works daaamn well for what it is. Revelations with twin stick its perfectly playable

Hmmm, I found Revelations to be terrible with it. Did you change something or just go with the default config?
It is really great for camera control though. Xenoblade, MH4, Majora's, Kingdom Hearts. A necessary addition.

I thought the stable 3d made gyro controls 10 times better

to be fair, i said perfectly playable, not real analog controll stick
I found it better than using the face ABXY buttons to aim (Type C) which was the wya i played the game all the time.
Hey! Im looking to get a New 3DS this week. Was just wondering, does the slight increase in size to the new 3DS make much of a difference to how the console feels in the hands? Wondering which one to go for: Normal or XL

Well I had the original 3DS, before I got the New 3DS XL earlier this week and it feels great to be honest.
I was worried it would feel a little on the large side, but it feels comfier than the original.

Depends how big your hands are. I have big ass hands and they would cramp after prolonged playtime on the original 3DS. I don't think they've cramped yet with the New XL.
@Waveboy Are you by chance wearing a hat? It will mess with the 3d lILike no tomorrow. I've heard certain types of glasses will also do that.
No hat, no glasses, just groovy long surfer locks. ahem, that aren't covering my face.
Perhaps my eyes are just funked. Either way, I've read quite a few similar complaints online in other forums.
Even Josh from the Wii Folder/Bit block hates the new super stable 3D effect. people have been saying that it blurs for a couple of seconds before the camera re-tracks your face. but i'm experiencing shakey/jittery/flicker visuals and picture doubling. people have even been saying that it works terribly in the dark....SS3D Gives me a headache. Still, even if it worked properly as described, I still wouldn't keep the N3DS XL due to the large screens.
Regular 3D effect is good enough for me.
Did you know there are two panel types for the top screen. Most are IPS some are TN.
That scanline kind of effect is only on IPS.

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
They need to hurry up and make more exclusives for this or the New 3DS will crash and burn. Xenoblade is doing nothing for me. Give us some more colors and hurry up with the special designs whats the hold up here? Codename Steam?
