Who here got short nails and stinged their Finger under the nail while getting the touchpen out for the First time?
Sry couldn't word it better 😐
This time I find the tip of the touch pen having a weird shape. Now I'm really careful in pulling it out
But the rest of the xl model feels sturdy and comfy.
Although I need to get used to the new c-stick - I always confuse c-stick and x button lol

The eye tracking 3d is marvellous and even works in complete darkness, cause of infrared!

I would say my only complaint that I feel they could have done something about was the stylus. It feels entirely too short to me. They should have made it a collapseable one like the original model had.

Of course the stylus itself is in an awkward position too but I'm guessing the system is so jam-packed with hardware that they didn't really have a choice, so I don't blame them for that

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Amazon better get their jive together, it's saying my shipping estimate is between March 6th and whatever else, yet I purchased the N3DS XL yesterday night when it said there was 3 left remaining in stock. Maybe there's just an error. there's no way I'm waiting that long.

My local GAME store manager said that March is the next New 3DS (XL) shipment after the initial launch stock. Seems to be Nintendo probably played it safe again in terms of stock to guarantee profit rather than any chance being left with lots of unsold stock.

Yes, it doesn't work. Probably Japan exclusive then.

I've spent more time with it today and I'm veeery pleased. I'm just angry that the back panel is so flimsy and difficult to pull off that, when I removed it, the panel cracked right above the power button. Not a huge deal, but the freakin' case won't stay click on the side.

Sorry, I don't remember how to post pics on here. The first is the left side. How it's supposed to be.

Lol that made me chuckle 😂
You need file sharing sites like drop box or imgur etc!

I tried it on my Ambassador Edition. Nope, no luck ;-;

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

Am i the only one having problems steering the new C-Stick downwards, or is my system faulty ?
I actually need to pull it down using my nail for it to register any down movement, and even then it only registers hald the travel distance (noticed with: Galaxy Force 2, Thrusters only go up to half speed)

While games like Nano Assault, which i expected would have the most issues with the nub, work absolutely fine.
Its hard to think of it as a hardware issue that way. My best guess is, that something went horribly wrong with the calibration.

Fantastic. That tiny snow storm decided to develop into a full blown winter storm. I might not get my New 3DS tomorrow if it gets really bad.

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.

Okay, REALLY confused right now: I put all the data onto an SD card, and none of it shows up on the New 3DS...but it shows up on the old 3DS.

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

You can't transfer your data like that for some random reason. It won't show up at all because from what I heard the software that is on that 3DS is special to that 3DS and none of the software would show up on another 3DS unless you transfer it through the official way of transfering. I learned that the hard way.

I think I did something wrong well transfering my stuff to my New 3DS XL. After the transfer was complete, I couldn't turn off my 3DS or N3DS like it told me. My 3DS rebooted and started as it was new and my N3DS did nothing at all. The thing I'm worried about is when my normal 3DS rebooted completely did it overwrite everything that my SD Card original had?

Well I am taking a liking to the system so far, while the red N3DS looked nice and different, the black is actually more of a grey which is pretty cool and I might enjoy it more, the 3D is better and I might try using 3D more now, the nub is ok but I hope that it isn't something that would break easy, loading times is much better now and hopefully some games are improved online, I still got my old XL however which I will still be using for games that I got physical since I don't want too much wear on my New so early.

I agree, the 3D is very much improved. I never had much of a problem with the old 3D but NOW I can set my 3DS down and hold it any which way without breaking the 3D effect.

So my brother got one, and from what I've been able to try out, I don't really think I'm going to make the upgrade any time soon.

There are a ton of great enhancements, but I'm personally fine without them. I barely ever play any games that would be better with the c-stick, and while I think the super stable 3D is awesome, I've personally never had any problems with the old 3D sweet spot. Sure, it will occasionally go out of focus if I'm playing an intense game and really moving my system, but only for a split-second before I re-enter the sweet spot. I also don't really mind the slower speed on my current system, as much as I would like for things to be faster. The only thing I don't like - and this really is the deal-breaker here - is the stylus. The position is one thing, (Worst location ever. Even worse than on the original 3DS. But I could live with it.) but it's just way too short, and it isn't comfortable or easy to hold. (Rather than the back of it resting on the side of my hand, between my thumb and index finger joints, it slips under the side of my hand so the back just jabs into my palm) For most people this probably wouldn't be a huge issue, but since I spend a ton of time using Petit Computer, (and soon SmileBASIC) playing Tomodachi Life, and I may even start using Flipnote Studio 3D a lot too, having a good stylus is extremely important to me. (And I'm not going to lug a bigger one around with me either.)

So yeah, I think everything about the system is a nice upgrade, besides the new SD card location (Even though my brother and I had a nightmare removing the back panel, I still wouldn't really mind it as it would really only be a one, maybe two, time thing.) and the stylus. The upgrades just aren't big enough to convince me and the stylus really brings it down for me.

I like makin' games!
Future Pinball games!
Petit Computer games!!
and SmileBASIC games!
Waiting for Kirby Air Ride 2. One day, it will come. One day...

That's another thing I had to do, I turned off the auto brightness, also now you must go into the home settings to turn off wifi, I usually have it off on my old XL but will probably leave it on now with my New.
