It's actually 2 am here and I should totally be asleep right now (just one more pokemon battle I promise). I should be available around the usual time though, those gammoths won't wrestle themselves.
@meleebrawler I even had a farcaster on me- left over from my charm runs.
I just thought it was something that would take much longer than it did and didn't think about trying to stay in the room.
It took me a few attempts, but I managed to solo Akantor. It helped me out immensely with my needed items for upgrading equipment, but it only gave me one tail so I'll need to hurt it again. At least I don't have to worry about beating that mission again just as long as I get the tail carve.
I'd probably go with the Consummate Gunlance if I was going to make a Dragon GL, but that's partially because I favour the "long" type of GL. Plus it has decent attack and a big dragon boost. If you favour the "normal" or "wide" modes, then there may others that are better for you.
However, I've only used the fiery Flamethrower GL, plus I'm not an expert on choosing weapons, so I dunno how good my advice is
After two more Alatreon hunts, it seems that 3U scared everybody into not using flashbombs. I told them in the chat that they work, but only one person listened.
Such is the fate of hunting with randoms... .

@CrazedCavalier Surely the fact that there are flashes in the supplies would be proof that they work? Nope, just gonna do what they always do, hack away and let others take care of that "knowledge" and "items" stuff.
Bleh...TwT lol
I jsut don't wanna deal with Jho, unless Savage is back to being super easy like in 3U...
You mean "literally the exact same thing as regular Jho, except with longer and more frequent dragon breaths"?
In fact, here's a list of subspecies based on how much they actually add or differ compared to normal:
Good (uses significantly different moves and/or attributes and may require very different tactics)
All "rare" subspecies (Gold Rathian, Abyssal Lagiacrus, Molten Tigrex etc.)
Ivory Lagiacrus
Stygian Zinogre
Glacial Agnaktor
Tigerstripe Zamtrios
Shrouded Nerscylla
OK (mostly the same moves, but fights in different areas)
Basically any monster that is element-swapped, or a "desert" version
Brute Tigrex
Steel Uragaan
Green Nargacuga (barely, due to it's stunning spikes)
Bad (only adds a move or two that could easily have been used for regular)
Blue Yian Kut-Ku
Purple Gypceros
Azure Rathalos
Pink Rathian
Red Khezu
White Monoblos
Black Diablos*
Black Gravios
Green Plesioth
Emerald Congalala
Furious Rajang (absolutely nothing new)
In the case of Black Diablos it's practically a lampshade, as even the game admits that it's not actually new, but a female in heat. One could also perhaps argue that Diablos's moveset as is, is already perfect and barely needs to be touched. Black's only difference in 3U was the ability to change direction in a dig, a subtle but insidious new trick in killing you with tremors.
...Erm, yeah...anyways, point being I'm not dealing with Savage unless it's the 3U version. Because 4U Savage was a living nightmare with that pin attack. (and spamming that walking dragon breath move in G-Rank, but I'm assuming they removed that because they're stupid)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Yay, the desire sensor finally gave up and allowed me to get the Zinogre Jasper needed to upgrade my Switch Axe to the max. I had done various regular and Hyper Zinogre quests, and defeated Thunderlord all the way up to Lv 5 Thunderlord, who was kind enough to give me it.
@Tsurii Yes, and so are Raging Brachy and Savage Jho. It's still no excuse for Furious's lazy implementation.
Another thing you might notice about the list is that most of the worst examples of subspecies come from 1st gen. Perhaps because subspecies at first were thought as nothing more than harder versions of existing monsters. It's only from 2nd gen onwards that they started to get a bit more creative.
@Joeynator3000 ...You do remember that High Rank Savage Jho in 4U didn't use the vertical dragon breath either, right? No reason it shouldn't be different for Generations. What IS different, though, is that his lunging bite no longer pins you when he's enraged, but instead it and every other biting move causes dragonblight.
That aside, everyone should see the amazing Generations visuals of an enraged Savage at least once.
