The next update for Nintendo 3DS allows you to create a Nintendo Network ID and create a profile on Miiverse (or use the ones created on a Wii U), yes?
And the StreetPass Mii Plaza can be updated anytime, no?
Well, in the next Mii Plaza update, why don't they add an option to view the Miiverse profile of whoever you pass by (if they have one)? It could work in the same manner as selecting the "Last Game Played" or "Send To Mii Maker" sections when you select a Mii you've passed by in the plaza. It could say "View Miiverse Profile", and automatically launch Miiverse. You can't send friend requests or messages in the 3DS version of Miiverse anyway, so it's not like it'd be a problem or anything. Plus, it could be optional, and users could have the option to turn it off (like the "personal messages") so the "View Miiverse Profile" wouldn't show up when someone selects their Mii in the plaza. And if the person you StreetPass doesn't have a NNID or a Miiverse profile, then it'd just simply not show up.

my answer is that it would be awesome! the 3DS Miiverse could use some features that the WiiU couldn't have(but can do just fine without) like it, maybe they could even make some easter egg hat that can only be unlocked if you do something in the miiverse!

My greeting has been "NNID: Ben_AV" ever since the Wii U launched anyway so I'm not too bothered either way, considering I'd never be bothered to actually check someone's profile, but I guess it's a cool idea.
i doubt they would allow that. there would be news stories on fox about kids talking to strangers they walk past on the street on nintendo and drawing dirty pictures to each other and then it ends up being a 40 year old guy and blah blah blah...
^the difference is that Miiverse(at least on the 3DS) will have no PM system, that is, if something like that happens anyone can see report and the case is closed with SwapNote it wasn't so easy with no way to moderate or control what's being sent....

That'd be interesting, although perhaps rather useless in most regions of the world.
Oh, and seeing someone's profile isn't a security issue, since the profiles for Miiverse likely have no real personal data about anyone anyway. Heck, often it's hard to even tell who you just StreetPassed to begin with...

I wasn't too sure about this, as I don't have a NNID yet, and cannot view my friend's Miiverse profiles, so thanks for telling me. Regardless, if something like this did happen, I'd imagine that Nintendo would at least put a parental control option on it, just to be safe. They did take down Swapnote after all, but only because it wasn't moderated, unlike Miiverse.
