a lot of what I've heard makes it sound like Miyamoto's the guy that tells people "no, this needs to be fixed. I don't care if it's delayed, fix it." Maybe much nicer than that though. Sort of the 2nd opinion really needed to tell people when they are doing something right or wrong so that the final product can be much better.
With Inafune gone I don't have any doubt that a great Megaman game can still be made. I just doubt Capcom will let who ever makes it release the game. I mean 10 years for Legends 3 and 6 years still no x9. They both ended in a way that showed they had a sequel planned too.
@waveboy Whats so bad about those games? I thought they looked pretty good and they don't look as bad as MMX7. If they are as bad as you say, at least they still have great soundtracks like most games in the series. MMX5 has some songs, X vs. Zero is my favourite boss theme in the entire Mega man series and is my overall 2nd fave Mega man song, my favourite is Top man stage theme from MM3.
only played megaman X 1 and 2, a bit of 3. but these 2 first are the best megaman memories i have. i really do hope they port it on 3DS. and how about megaman legend 3D ? this is a remastered title i would buy
those on NES are memorable too. but i clearly remember a lot of anger related to these too hahaha dont even play the gameboy one. i mean... i cant believe the conceptors behind it thought it would be fun to play. it was far from being fun, it was a anger-building piece of software. each inches of the level could either kill you, or make you kill yourself. or make you throw your gameboy on he wall.
I thought x4 was the best in the series. x5 was really decent at best in my opinion. Yes, the series truly started going down hill with x6(just AWFUL level design, unfair difficulty from the beginning, and stupid nightmare system.) But I'd say they sort of redeemed it with x8 though. If you don't mind the story it's a pretty good game. It's what x7 should have been.
x1 was a huge novelty when it came out. it trashed everything around. i remember, it was the big title that made the SNES look so much superior to the sega genesis. when X2 was announced, i was hysterical. then i kinda missed X3
I've seen videos on x3. Seems cool, but I can live without playing. It would have been cool if you can actually use Zero in the boss fights. Then again, this is coming from the guy who liked x7. Don't ask why....I just do. o.O
