Topic: Marvel Pinball 3D

The extra price is probably due to what Demonic said, but I've noticed that in general the higher quality eShop titles seem to be more expensive recently than early on.

My three favourite eShop titles so far are Mighty Switch Force ($9.00), Pullblox ($9.00) and Zen Pinball ($7.50) all went for less than $10 AUD, but then Dillon's Rolling Western broke the $10 barrier at $15.00, and since then we had VVVVVV (didn't release in Australia, but it'd be about $12 as I paid $11.XX from the UK eShop), Art of Balance TOUCH! ($10.50) and Mutant Mudds ($13.50).
Hopefully that's just a coincidence and not at trend, as I've like more of the great titles to start going back under $10, but they're all well worth it anyway.

Actually I believe marvel came to Zen to make the tables. Not sure if there is an additional license fee or not when they come to you.

The only game on the UK eShop that's over £10 at the moment is Shantae I believe, but that's only over by 80p. All of the games are under £10 but they are verging dangerously close to that £10 mark, especially with the help of Dillon's Rolling Western.

@Tech There probably still is a fee somewhere along the line but I'm not entirely sure. Maybe there is, maybe there isn't.

Playing it right now... someone has already got 100 million according to the high scores. o_O

I swear the balls in this game are made out of feathers... they ping around like a ping pong ball! Doesn't feel like it has any weight to it what so ever and trying to keep your on eye the thing is darn near impossible.

Don't forget demon that a lot of reviewers have this game already. I'm sure one of them or someone who has this game on another system already knows how to get the best scores.

Anyways... feather balls... they are the bane of my life at the moment.

Does this have the same control scheme as Zen Pinball 3D did, D Pad and A or ( I forget which button) B to control the flippers?

I don't see way not! From what I've heard its the exact same set up as Zen pinball.

Why don't you use the shoulder buttons? They feel much more natural than the face buttons, when it comes to emulating the feel of actually operaring flippers.

Anyhow, just played a couple of rounds on the Iron Man table. I loved Zen, and I already know I'm going to enjoy this just as much!

NWR gave it a 9.5/10

They loved:

• Just as good gameplay as Zen
• They thought the tables were more diverse than Zen
• plethora of leaderboards (online and offline)
• gorgeous 3D
• achievements

What they disliked:

• Felt like it could have been Zen DLC (despite the fact that even on PS3, they're two different games)

I was squinting when I first played - but then I noticed that there are multiple views u can play the game with - it helped me a lot!

Ha, I doubt it. I'm terrible at pinball IRL and....so far this game plays a lot like pinball IRL.

But I'm having a total blast! It's a fun game - the 3D is really strong and the graphix are top notch. Also, I enjoy all the conversations that the game has.

I've only played this game an hour and already I'm getting this....

I'm no stranger to this screen. I've seen it at least 3 times when I played Mad Dog McCree (I know, lol @ that game) but seriously....

WTF Nintendo? Both of these games are $7.99 downloads - they shouldn't be doing this on me....especially when I'm right in the middle of trying to GET highscores. >:[

I got this this morning and love it!!!!! The villian animations while you are playing is great and the animations in the lower screens match the animations on a real arcade! Also its awesome how it actually feels like playing a real pinball machiene! The only thing that I would change is if they had an X-Men table rather then Blade.
