That would look cool...I like it...but I cannot really picture him moving, gaining power-ups, and defeating the main villain in that type of art. I still like the idea though

I find it disturbing that people are willing to complain that Mario 3D World is a sequel (to a game which hasn't had one), yet are perfectly willing to demand yet another Super Mario Galaxy and another Super Mario Sunshine (the former of which has already had one sequel).
I just hope they make it more SM64-ish like no linear levels or lumps of rock... only medium to big(for the time) stages that don't bind you to a specific mission and NO CLASSIC MARIO MAP!!!

that's it! you enter the level and there are many objectives but you can follow whatever one you want in any order that pleases you! that's how I wanted nintendo to make the next 3D mario game!

Yeah, that's kind of how I wanted the missions to work in the games after Mario 64 too. Maybe Nintendo will learn from that series for the game after 3D World?
I think Mario would get along with this "Freedom for the player" scheme fine! but again, if Nintendo makes something never seen before I'll be happy too!
