Even if it's not for all characters, then it is neccessary for the Miis!

I'm curious to know just how many tracks there's going to be. 32 like Mario Kart Wii or more?

There were 32 tracks in the past three games, not just MKW. It seems like a pattern to me.

Yeah, so 16 new tracks, while the other 16 being retro tracks. (one of them being Waluigi Pinball, woohoo! lol)

The character list is:
Mario, Luigi, Princess peach, Daisy, Toad, Yoshi, Koopa trooper, Bowser, DK, Wario, Rosalina, Shy guy, Mii
And metal mario and lakitu (the cloud guy)
Oh I almost forgot dry bones and waluigi
Also these SHOULD be included:
Pianta, Petty pihranha, Goomba, Birdo, ROB, Baby luigi, Baby mario, King boo, Pacman and blinky (they once did appear in a mario kart game!), Mametchi (the tamagotchi one) (he also once appeared in a mario kart game aswell), Mc ballyhoo (the one from mario party wii), Hammer bro, Blooper, Chain chomp, And something like a Venus fly trap
Also maybe whomp, Professor. E Gadd, Something like a 3d 8-bit mario, funky kong and the chimp from mario galaxy

Sure you didn't leave anyone out?

I want Birdo. I know y'all mostly hate him/her, but he/she is the only reference to SMB2 that Nintendo cares to make anymore besides Shy-guys, which I consider more of a Yoshi thing now anyway. GIVE ME BIRDO OR GIVE ME DEATH!

I do want that but at the same time I don't because some people draw some really offensive and/or disgusting stuff and I don't think an 6 year old playing online play in Mario kart 7 would want to see that stuff

I doubt many (if any) 6 year old's play games online but I can see your point as there will still probably be some younger onlime MK7 players but probably not quite that young.

Actually there were only 16 in Double Dash! so judging from the past two games in the franchise, sure, theres going to be 32 tracks.

@pikmaniac02 Are you sure it wasn't just an item cause metal mario is pretty pointless.

It's not even that. I don't think anyone wants to see sexually oriented, racial or degrading emblems, regardless of age.

they interviewed someone working on mario kart 7 and he said that metal mario is a character.
