I challenge all of NL users who have MK7 to a race now on Nlife all items communities

wanted dry bones,dry bowser and king boo on the game

Could someone give me some tips on how to drive faster? I still haven't worked out how to get that speed boost at the start of the race.
How come more people don't race as their Miis? Are Miis slower racers than some of the characters?

hold down A and grabbed or grab a rocket from the ? box. And miis aren't slower, its just that people don't use it alot

@Victoria - Start holding down the A button when the starting Lakitu's countdown clock reaches 2, and you should get the starting boost. You may want to practice that a couple of times to get it down. As for people not racing as their Miis, they may just not like their Mii more than racing as other characters. Since I'm not too attached to any of the racers and there are no longer any weight classes or character-specific Karts to worry about, I really see no reason not to race as my Mii, but I guess that's just me.

@Victoria To get a rocket start (that's what the starting boost is called), hold down A just as the "2" in the countdown stops spinning. The better your timing, the longer the boost lasts. Also, in the kart customization screen it shows you your kart's stats including speed, heavy characters are faster but with the exception of speed and weight, light characters are stat-for-stat better than heavy characters. This includes hidden stats that aren't shown in game like underwater speed, mini-turbo power, and so on. And on the subject of mini-turbos, try to drift as early as possible and release R as late as possible to maximize your chances of recieving a super mini-turbo over a normal one. Use karts with a high mini-turbo rating to increase the effect of mini-turbos. When you have mushrooms, use them to take shortcuts and/or cut across offroad sections to save time. Or if you have a mushroom in 2nd or 3rd, it's usually better to try to get to 1st without using it so that you can dodge a blue shell with it. Acceleration also matters a lot. Karts with high speed and low acceleration take so long to reach their top speed, and get slowed down so easily (by turning to sharply, bumping into other players, getting hit by items, etc.) that in practice they are almost never at their top speed.
Now I have a question to ask. Does anyone know how to start an online race with your friends? I can't seem to find that option.

Karts don't have weight classes, but the characters do. I like playing as my Mii, but when I don't it's because I prefer lighter characters like Koopa or Lakitu, (they have better acceleration) or because I want to shake it up and play as someone else, like Luigi, just cause he rocks. Miis have medium weight, if I recall correctly.
@NeonShell7 If your friends are playing online, you'll see a little orange dot in the friends list icon in the home menu. Just click it and join any friend who's background is yellow instead or orange. Alternatively, you can go to the Friends/Opponents list in the Online Multiplayer menu in the game itself. Not hard to miss, really. :S

@Dark_TeeJay I know that, I was referring to not joining your friends on a WW race, but creating your own group to hold a GP or VS race. Is that even possible at all, or do you need to create a community to do that?

You join friends waiting in a community the exact same ways. The only difference is that it's a lot harder to do because the only chance you have to join is when all 4 races are over and everybody's waiting on the globe screen again, and people don't tend to wait too long unless they know you're trying to join. If you miss that small window, then you have to wait another 4 races before you have another chance to join.

The Mii's weight actually can be vary; it depends on how big you make your Mii in the Mii maker. If you make him skinny, he/she will be in the lightweight class.

Anyone else love it when every other player picks maha wulu just to try a cheat a win? Im getting sick of playing the same race every 3rd time around.

I'm not unlocking anything anymore it seems since 2000 coins.. strange.

@Terave: Once you've reached 2000, you need to get to 2500 to unlock something.
