@NintendoFan_27: The Blue Seven was one of the last few things I unlocked, as i recall. how many coins do you have?
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
The order is entirely random for unlocking parts, except for the final glider I think. AKA the one you want most is inevitably the last part you get. I'm at 4,000 and all that leaves is the Barrel Train! I waaaaant it.
Wow, never knew that parts are unlocked randomly. Pipe Frame I believe was the first thing I unlocked (and it was the kart I wanted from the start), so lucky me. And Mach 7 I unlocked early too compared to others.
Question: do you "keep" coins from doing modes other than grand prix? Basically, can I just keep playing coin runners and unlock things faster than on 50 cc?
Coins collect in Battle mode to not count towards your total.

And can you go a little faster?!
Online races. Probably local multiplayer but I'm not sure. Also not sure about TT.

Does it count more than 10 coins per race? Like, once I collect 10, is there much point to aiming for them after that? I kind of wondered if coins collect past 10 counted as well, because there have been times when it's announced that I've collect another 100, when I swear I've not done enough races and ended with 10 in my cashe to add up to 100.

No, there is an absolute cap of 10 coins per race, both on-screen and to the game itself. The not-enough-races-to-get-100-coins thing is probably just you. But, even after you get 10 coins there is still a point in collecting them. Coins will still give you a tiny boost (it's practically unnoticable, but little things can make a big difference), plus the more coins you collect, the less coins your opponents can collect.
If the 3DS has not been discontinued SM3DL and MK7 are awesome games, but if the 3DS has been discontinued Sony has taken over the world.It is not true that both Sony has taken over the world and SM3DL and MK7 are not awesome games.Therefore:Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 are...

What I meant was that it seems like like I've not raced that much, and I've already got 100 coins. I guess I'm playing and getting more coins than I realised. It seems like every single race I get my 10 coins early on, and in the last seconds something bombs me or knocks me off and I'm down to 5. {stupid blue shells!}

@Victoria: I know what you mean, I think you actually can collect more than 10 in each course, that's the only explanation I found because 10*4<50 and that's not what my game says D:

Oh sorry if you misunderstood, I meant that you probably played more races than you think. I guess that's basically what you just said.
