@dirtyspasti So far I really haven't had any problems getting online or while I'm online. I did have some issues at my work once but reset the router and all was fine from there!

Unfortunately, I'm still having lots of problems with MK7 online. I've tried opening ports and putting my 3DS into the router's DMZ, but it hasn't worked. So far, the only online races I've been able to successfully complete are with a friend who lives in Wales. Anyone else, I just get disconnected in the lobby or in the middle of a race.
My other online 3DS games work like a charm, so I wonder if the MK7 online is poorly programmed? I haven't even been able to e-mail Nintendo UK's support, as their form gives you a 404 when you submit it!
sighs I love the game, but the lack of online is spoiling it for me.

If he meant specifically getting three stars is luck, I agree there, it is complete luck. Four attempts in a row I was blue shelled midair at the end of Maka Wuhu. There is no making up for that. Thankfully though there is no direct benefit to three starring everything, so there is no reason to complain about it.

You can't look backwards, B is brake. You can however look at the map on the bottom screen to see what is going on behind you and to dodge racers trying to snipe you with green shells.

Some guy was snaking as Metal Mario lol Whatta joke. Sure he came in first, but I was pretty close behind. If I had a red shell when I needed, he wouldn't have lasted.

I love how any mode you play the coins still count towards unlocking parts. Even in download play! That's awesome. I also love receiving ghost data via spotpass every day. It adds so much replay ability. I love beating all these slow people's times. >:3

The ghosts are only slow if you don't previously have a record in that specific course. If you have a ghost file in a crouse already, the ghosts will be balanced so that some are slower than you and some are faster.
