Topic: Mario kart 7 Discussion

Am I the only one who finds this the most annoying MK? As soon as you get to first you get blue shelled. The constant bombardment of green and red shells along with the fire balls and lightning bolts. Utter item rape.

Just trying to stay at a consistent speed is a hard enough challenge as it is. And also the speed, dam it feels slow and sluggish! Even on 150cc with high acceleration and speed it feels like your lugging a massive lump of lead around.

I'll probably get used to it eventually but dang...

Im just gonna say it: MK7 is my favorite Mario Kart and Favorite 3DS game.
I give it a 9.5/10, I give my 2nd favorite, Super Circuit a 9/10..
If there will be 1PVS and more community options, ill give it a 10.

Destructoid was right, MK7 plays like a poorly made rehash N64 game!
SuperSonic Racing was far better game then this.

You gotta have skills and just suck up if you get nailed. I never really had much problems with be hit by blue shells. I keep shoving on and laugh about it.

I dunno, but I think my mind is on having fun. Not winning all the time.

That's awesome. And how's Wario holding up?

Is it appropriate to mention how a speed up code or trophy, makes you speed up even more?

so whats up with this mario kart channel? can you really install it onto the sd card and enter it seperatly from the home menu like it was with mario kart wii?

I'm wondering this too. I believe it was brought up once, but I haven't seen anyone say that you actually can.

What is the point of already knowing what you get for Christmas? I love not knowing what presents I get.

Well, I'm at the age where Parents just give you the money and say "here go buy what you want" and then I just give it to them to wrap. Besides that's the only thing I even asked for

I feel that the Online servers for this game are terrible, I have had no problem playing Street Fighter or Mercenaries Online but I have only been able to get into one match of this game successfully and the rest of the time the connection just drops. Without Online play I feel this game barely lasts7 or 8 hours which I feel is extremely poor (especially when compared to Mario land 3D) and until the Online is sorted, it inst worth more then a 7/10.

I unlocked metal mario his voice is just marios voice reverbed with a few new quotes.

About the online: Of course it will have problems. Any popular game with online play will have connection issues at first. Because so many are trying or are playing online.

I havent found a way to do so.

Sonic R be an awesome VC game in the eshop especially with online added on but I highly dought SR is better than MK7

I am finding the single player the most challenging since Super Mario Kart. So far I have only unlocked Shy Guy.

For me it would be great if, like Smash Bros Brawl, you could also unlock characters through winning in multiplayer.

I still think it would have been better if you could unlock characters by completing cups in ANY engine class, eg. Daisy in any Mushroom Cup or Metal Mario in any Special Cup. Nintendo's marketing this game to everybody, but they're placing the hidden characters in an engine class which not everybody is guaranteed to finish. The only character you unlock by beating any engine class is Mii. Too bad if a young child wants to play as Wiggler and they have no gamer parents/legal guardians/older relatives to assist them, isn't it?

Or even a 30 year old like me who struggles after playing Mario Kart for 20 years!
