I don't think it is necessary, as I own the Wii version and since there is nothing else that is exclusive (except Amiibo useage) I have no reason to get a New 3DS.

I was disappointed to hear that this remake is what Monster was working on. I was really hoping they were working on a new Excite game. ExciteTruck and ExciteBots were great.

Is that confirmed? I know DKCR 3D had exclusive levels so I thought they'd do something similar here.

That was more in reference to the New 3DS and not the game.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

In a way I don't want anymore exclusive games. It hurts too many current users. What I would like to see is a bump in graphics from this point on and better load times. If the bump in graphics is enough then maybe it will get people to upgrade but no more exclusives please. It just divides too many people. They would have to be die hard Nintendo games to sell well.

I never played the game, but will definitely buy it for the New 3DS. Not necessary, I guess, but remakes never really are. I'm glad it's coming out though, as I wouldn't have played it otherwise.

That's quite the claim. Are you seriously claiming it's better than Final Fantasy: All the Bravest?

I think the Amiibo functionality is going to be the big selling point for the New 3DS. I know for me the Project Steam Amiibo usage is what might sell me on a New 3DS if I can get all the Fire Emblem characters and if they don't officially announce a portal for normal 3DS.

Xenoblade for the Wii is so. Rare. Making a rare and ridiculously expensive game available to the average person for normal store price for the N3DS is a god send

So while it wasn't necessary it is certainly appreciated.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

So a game I can get at just about any Gamestop now for 45$ is more accessible then spending like 250$ to play this version?

Ok, sorry. I just checked and it's up to 60$ now. It was down to just under 50 a while ago.

it's obviously necessary as people want to play the original before playing the sequel, but cannot because it was in such short supply on wii. not many people played the original. not many people even knew about it. the combination of smash and the new 3ds and the re-release of the original means many more people are going to know about the sequel.

It's only a spiritual sequel. Completely different universe and story.

Wouln't it make more sense to release it digitally on the Wii U since the sequel is coming to the Wii U and not the New 3DS.

They should've just released it on Wii U e shop, that's where the sequel is anyway. I guess Nintendo wants people to buy both systems / thinks it'll sell better on 3DS?

It does look even worse on new 3DS. The load times seem short, though.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

Well, when you look at the chart:

Untitled

All the Bravest is on the Bottom, while Xenoblade is off the charts.

Love it. It reminds me of an old comedy show in the UK called Brasseye: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRoSzCS3fO8

Things bode well for the sequel, if this graph is anything to go by.

New rumor Gamestop is going to require their own eshop on the 3DS to sell the game. [/joke]
I personally will get the game for the new 3DS as I have more time for portable game than consumer games for to fueling my desire to get more awesome games.
