I'm looking for a Nintendo 3DS XL to purchase, and found one costing around US$ 53.00 (but in my currency) less than the others. The price is +-US$ 98.00.
However, it seems to have humidity inside the screen, since the seller left it stored for too long without use.
Is it worth getting a system like this, or given the work needed to clean the space between the plastic and the screen I should look elsewhere?
Other than some tiny screws and delicate ribbon cables that you really don't want to break, there's nothing too scary when it comes to disassembling a 3DS. Just go slow and steady, and keep track of everything that you take out. There's a guide here:
Storing in excessive humidity isn't too great for electronics generally though, so try and make sure that that's the only thing wrong with it. Water damage frequently kills consoles of all sorts, regardless of how it got there.
