I love the 3DS, got on day one, but my problem is the viewing angle to properly see the 3D. Some games are rather impressive with the 3D, especially the depth. DOA Dimensions, Zelda OoT, Pilot Wings come to mind. However, not all things are impressive utilizing the 3D, like downloaded videos or trailers. Some games are really drastic to my eyes if you slightly lose the viewing angle, while some are slight (even if the 3D is max). It hurts my eyes if I tilt the 3DS slightly horizontal.
Do you guys think it possible to have a firmware update to improve the viewing angle horizontally or is it an hardware issue?

I'm sorry to hear that the 3D effect occasionally irritates your eyes =/ And unfortunately, I don't think a firmware update could improve the "sweet spot."
My problem (with Zelda in particular) is huge ghosting in games. For example, there are two additional Links on my screen besides the original one. The only thing that stops this is turning the 3D all the way off.
I've also occasionally experienced the ghosting as well =/ even at low 3D intensity, I sometimes see it. I think it was primarily in OoT, however, so hopefully it's just that game, and not the system.

It's only a split second because I'm looking at a certain area on the screen and then it blurs or separates the images so fast.
There were a few brief moments in OOT where it hurt my eyes for a split second but it's the only game I experienced it in and it was so brief that I can't even now remember where exactly it happened. I do remember that when you enter the Zora's domain via the waterfall there is a zoom out animation which ends very awkwardly and isn't exactly comfortable to view.
