Topic: Getting my games back?

So, to keep it short, I restored my system to factory settings because I was going to sell it to a friend. Friend ended up not wanting it at the last minute, and I don't feel like selling it anymore so I loaded it back up but I can't figure out how to redownload my games without having to re purchase them. Are they linked to an account somewhere? I don't think I linked my 3ds to a club nintendo account, because the account recovery for that won't acknowledge any of my e-mail accounts. Am I screwed?

Do you have a Nintendo Network ID?

Either way, the way Nintendo prefers to handle this sort of thing is over the phone. They may ask you to send it in for recovery.

I think so. I went back in my e-mail history and definitely received an e-mail thanking me for creating my nintendo network ID.

Nintendo's handling of this kind of stuff is a bit... tricky... so the more of a record you have the better! That was my logic for joining Club Nintendo ages ago.
