Tri was a bit of a grind, mostly because it forced the player to start with a really small selection of weapon options. And even when you unlocked the rest, it was still small compared to the previous game.

Oh I remember in Tri, the first time I hunted a Great Baggi, it was terrible.

Not only did I have to use a Sword&Shield (a weapon I'm not used to), it was a particularly weak one and it got dull really fast. The worst part? I forgot to bring whetstones.

It was a really long and boring hunt, and I still really dislike that monster.

3 Ultimate is easier compared to 4U, so start with that game I guess. Regardless of what you do...you're going to die. lol

Disagree... Having online all the time makes 4U infinitely easier.

Monster Hunter is basically Ocarina of Time: no fancy contextual animations, each button just does the same thing each time. It's about learning the attack animations for your weapon and the monster you're hitting with it, mostly. Also, the target camera is more important than the d-pad or circle pad pro ever will be.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.
