Deus Ex on 3DS would be awesome, lack of dual analog might put some off though, not tried the stylus for any DS FPS, but can't see how you could use both stylus controls and the 3D effect on 3DS, seeing as they are 2 seperate screen, but I've played FPS shooters on digital controllers and enjoyed them just fine, so a single analog is fine with me, as long as it doesn't require super precision aiming anyway.
You have the control on the touch screen but the actual game on the top screen, it can seem confusing at first but after playing for a couple of minutes it's really intuitive. It feels a lot more like a mouse than pointer or analogs though.

What about Call of Duty was it not FPS on the DS? I never played the one on 3DS just on the home consoles. I'm sure Nintendo will have Call of Duty a FPS on the 3DS, there's no way Nintendo would pass up FPS games on the 3DS.
... what?
I thought Call of Duty Modern Warfare was on the DS. Is it? let me go check.
I just checked it is on the DS and it looks FPS from what I can tell from the photos.

As do I, but I've yet to play a handheld that is "FPS friendly". I couldn't even stand playing them on the DS, and since the controls of the 3DS are exactly the same, I highly doubt it'll change my mind.
What would anyone like to see in an FPS for the 3DS?

The analog control was added to the 3DS, this will be useful for FPS's.

Except you'd still have to fiddle around with the stylus to aim, and personally I find that to be extremely limiting and cumbersome.

Perhaps aiming could be handled by the analog pad and movement assigned to the ABXY buttons. Or vice versa.
Or you could use the gyroscope and/or accelerometer(sp?) to aim. There's three different control schemes right there. Stylus just happens to be the most convenient.

I tried that in one game, and that's how it works in all of the PSP FPSes. It's not much better (actually, it's worse). The good thing about a thumbstick or a mouse is that you can make varying degrees of movement, be it large or small. While the touch pad has similar capabilities, it's simply too small, making it difficult to turn or strafe without having to pause to move your hand to the other edge of the screen. Such a delay could mean the difference between life or death, success or defeat, in a fast-paced FPS. Sure, you could turn up the sensitivity, but then it becomes nearly impossible to make precise movements. Honestly, it just seems like it'd be impossible for an FPS on a handheld - any handheld, let alone the 3DS - to even approach the level and quality of control of a the same on a console or PC. Unfortunately, control is one of the most important things in an FPS, because it doesn't matter how good you or the game is if the machine receiving your inputs can't keep up. With that in mind, I couldn't see myself enjoying any FPS released on the 3DS. Sure, I could take them on the go, but in my opinion, portability doesn't not warrant putting up with lesser quality. Not in that aspect, at any rate.
I don't want FPS on the 3DS. Not just because of the inevitable terrible controls, but bullets and lazers and grenades flying towards my face would scare the living hell out of me, even if it looked extremely fake.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Haha rofl , I can't stop laughing that's really funny and you funny XD. Good point. I would get use to it plus you can turn down the 3D effect.
@Mickeymac, Well theres always lock-on and you have the analog stick so thats a plus. Now to the stylus part, I'm sure Nintendo is going let you have the option to the use the stylus or use the buttons, theres no way you can try and hold the 3DS and try and use the analog stick and then move using your stylus. Also its easy playing FPS on the PSP for me, I'm good at it.
I would like to see Star Wars: Battle Front on the 3DS.

exactly what oregano wrote. You move the 3DS in the direction you want to aim, like if the target is above you, you can aim the 3DS up as if you are the player. now if you move together in tandem with the 3DS and stay directly in front of the 3DS you will still have the 3D effect and be able to aim on the 3DS by actually looking in the direction of the the enemy and turning the 3DS togethter with you instead of just your hands turning the 3DS.
Currently playing: 3DS: KI: Uprising Wii: Xenoblade Chronicles "Heh, heh... Thanks... You're nice. Umm... Can I ask... a question? Your friends... What kind of... people are they? I wonder... Do these people... think of you...as a friend?"
How the hell do you know if someone is new to nintendolife is that some sort of ability you have? ON TOPIC:DREAM.TRIGGER.3DS. GO WATCH THE TRAILER IT WILL GIVE YOU A NERDGASM
I hope they add Star Wars Battle Front on the 3DS and just a game that's FPS about the Clone Troopers only on the 3DS. And you get missions from the Jedi and you see the life of the Clone Trooper.

The only FPS on DS I ever got was Metroid Prime: Hunters
I'll have to see how Call of Duty turns out on 3DS, as N-Space did confirm it in a subtle way. Of course, one can take it either way.
N-Space makes terrible games... though the Call of Duty games are better than all of the other DS games that they make. When I saw "Star Wars Batllefront DS" I got really excited, but then I saw N-Space and looked at screenshots; I was extremely dissapointed...
