Really? I found the Fates soundtrack to surpass that of Awakening. The "Don't Speak Her Name" from Chapter 10 of Awakening has been remixed with a splash of the dramatic theme you hear from the Fates launch trailer, and it's so amazing!
I spent a few hours just listening to all the songs in the game which you can do at the Records Hall in MyCastle (or set the music you want to play up near the throne) and there are so many incredible songs that I actually decided to go ahead and order the soundtrack from Japan. I also went ahead and ordered the Awakening soundtrack which just got a reprint, and the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE soundtrack for good measure.
But seriously, the music in Fates, at least imo, definitely matches and surpasses Awakening.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced
I thought Chapter 10 in Conquest wasn't nearly as bad as it was hyped to be. But I found it to be an absolutely amazing defend map! Truly remarkable! And Chapter 12- oh my goodness that map was so amazing I was daydreaming about it all of yesterday.
Now, Chapter 13- that one was super tough- it's almost impossible to not lose a unit on the right side against Takumi and the knight, especially after the wyvern riders appear and ambush you while you're on the bridge. And that unit is most likely going to be your tank, Effie. Who else would you send into the danger zone but your tank? Guess that's why they give you Benny. They're counting on you losing Effie lol...

@JaxonH: Music is a subjective matter dude. You can't expect everyone to like that quality of music.
To me, I'm disappointed that not that many songs are memorable. How can they ignore the Together We Ride theme till the credits and its not even the one I expected it to sound like.
My biggest problem is its lack of epicness and just uses more of the instruments better suited for Birthright than in Conquest.
But hey, kudos to you if you like it more than I do. Maybe if I get my hands on Birthright, I might have a chance to enjoy the songs of what Birthright has to offer.
I never said it wasn't, dude. I was just giving my opinion on the matter, that's all.

I wasn't aware Birthright and Conquest had different music though. It seemed so intertwined. I just finished playing Birthright and have access to all the tracks, and these are all so amazing. Not sure if they're in Conquest but, check out these tracks in MyCastle if you can...
Thorn in You (LOVE this one)
Dark Wastes
Dusk Falls
Justice RIP
Far Dawn
Watery Music Box (LOVE this one)
"Open For Business" think this was Awakening's over world map theme?
To A Foreign Land
Resolve
Egdelwonk
New Power (LOVE this one)
Warmth Is Gone
Return to Elegance (Azura's song)
Advance Confusion
Pray to the Dark
Raging Dark Winds
Pale Star
Guest of Shade
Guest of Light
Paradise
Conquest (think this was the music from eXponential Growth in Awakening?)
I know that's a big list. But, if you ever have time, maybe check some out and let me know what you think.

@JaxonH: I beaten Conquest and I don't know if I want to spoil the music for Birthright yet.
But I agree, atleast Thorn in You is my favorite song in this entire game....and the only memorable one for me.
Now I just wonder when in hell I can get my hands on Birthright......
Have you by any chance beaten Birthright? If so, how is the difficulty in Classic? I'm asking this because I want to experience in Classic Mode to get the real experience in Fire Emblem but since I barely have any time, I'm worried if its going to take more than an hour to beat one chapter.
@JaxonH Conquest was a song that you could play in Awakening when you were in a skirmish or Streetpass Battle, really glad they brought it back for Fates since it was a personal favourite of mine!
Also Open For Business plays whenever you visit Anna's shop in Awakening.
So while I already beaten Conquest I got one question.
So I wanted Keaton to have skill sol so I changed him to Hero after getting him promoted to his second level wolfseggner. But then instead of getting Sol, he got a skill from class Wolfseggner. How was I suppose to get Sol as intended?
Yes Ive beaten Birthright. I'd say it's a little harder than Awakening (no grinding vs no grinding). It's definitely not as tough as Conquest, but, it's no cakewalk if you play without grinding, imo. It's about on par with Fire Emblem 7 difficulty.
You should be fine on classic, especially after having played Conquest. Tbh they really nailed the difficulty well in Birthright. Not too easy, not too hard. Of course, I like the challenge of Conquest most, but speaking generally for most people. It's hard enough even vets can find a challenge with Classic, but easy enough newer players won't get frustrated (especially with grinding allowed).
Hour a Chapter is about right. Or a little less.

I know when you reclass, let's say you change to Archer at Lv 14 to get the Level 15 skill. You hit 15, but you'll get the Lv 5 skill first. Not the Lv 15 skill.
Perhaps that is where the confusion is coming from?

@JaxonH: Hmm....I guess. But isn't the first skill in Hero Sol though? I mean that's what my first Hero's skill is Sol.
Yeah...why not? I guess I can try out Classic in Birthright considering the ability to grind my units easier compared to Conquest even though I didn't find the limited grinding any problematic.
@Socar You first get the skills of the base class if you haven't got them. So if you were to reclass someone who wasn't originally a Mercenary into a Hero, they'll be getting the Mercenary skills first before the Hero ones since you can't downgrade classes unlike Awakening.
@Iggly: So even if I had reclassed Camillia into a Sorcerer, She can't get the skills Vengence and Bowflare because of her class already being promoted?
@Socar I don't see what's hard to understand, you'll get the Hero skills after you get the Mercenary skills. For example, after my Arthur learns the level 10 Mercenary skill "Strong Riposte", the next level up will give you the Sol skill.

@Socar:
I think you'll gain a new skill every level up though, until you catch up to the skill you're supposed to be at.
So just gain a few levels and let the skills rain down (someone correct me if I'm wrong in this)
