Well all DLC is different, on a per game basis and even within games, there are all different kinds. But I think your confusion here stemmed from looking at Revelation as traditional "DLC" like the map packs, where you just play it from a menu. When in actuality it's one of the 3 main paths available at the Ch. 6 choice.

Anyone else wish that Fire Emblem Cipher (the new Fire Emblem TCG game) would come to other countries besides Japan? The artwork for those cards are beautiful, and after watching people play it, it looks like something I'd love to put a wee bit of money into.

@NinjaWaddleDee: I also too wish these cards would come outside of Japan. I heard that the cards can unlock the ambiio characters without the actual ambiio by using a download code.

@Sticker: Yep! The starter decks come with download codes for Lucina or Marth. I doubt it'll ever come over here though, which is sad because it could probably take off as Nintendo's more mature card game. It could also help to spread the Fire Emblem name. I'll probably just end up buying the starter decks because I'm starting to doubt we'll ever get them. I don't know what we could possibly do to show Ninty that we're interested.

@JaxonH Yep I still got you added, I should be Homura on your friend list. Also I wouldn't mind making a bond unit, I'll start sending accessories later of today since it's 1 am over here lol.

Hmmm I think they messed up on how they didn't provided another female unit in the game.

If you marry someone from the 'first gen' units, you will miss out a child character.

On my birthright play through I missed Dwyer, as I married someone from there and Jakob had no one else to S support with.

IIRC, in Awakening, 2 male units were spares.

That's not true. You can get all the children as male Corrin, but you need to S-rank Reina, Scarlet, or one of the child characters.

Ok I love Izana. Also his sprite is sleepy and cute looking.

Weird thing is, I usually play the female character in other games that let you choose, but for FE, for some reason, I like to play the male character.

Does revelations has this problem too?

I have a question.
I'm about to start Conquest and I was wondering is there a benefit to redoing the first 6 chapters or is it better to just pick branch of fate?

Currently playing the OG GBA fire emblem so great to revisit it after so many years!

I just got the game... This is freaking amazing!!! I love it already!

I love the GBA Fire Emblem games, particularly that one. I have all the FE games physically, but wanted them all sealed too (not really a sealed collector but for FE, heck ya) and that game was the last one I needed for a long time- it was SO hard to find sealed in mint condition. Heck it hard to find a copy of it sealed in any condition. Swear I stalked eBay every day for 6 months just to find ONE sealed copy that wasn't damaged.

@JaxonH: Yep I recently got them boxed after having owned the cartridges for ages! I got lucky with the the first (Western) Fire emblem as I paid £50 for it boxed and as soon as I bought it all the prices shot up by another £40 I also just got PoR for a reasonable price but I'll play that one later! With shadow dragon I got it from a retailer but the box was fake luckily I had a friend who didn't care if the box was real or not as long as he had a box so he was willing I swap and then I had another friend who could give me the manual so I lucked out with that one! The only one I still need to get is radiant dawn now! I would get them mint but I just don't have the money haha but I do love the series! Still it's impressive that your determination got you mont copies of the game well done;

I think it's as good as Awakening. My brother says not quite. But either way it's close enough.

Basically, the characters aren't quite as good and despite the story having a more intriguing premise, it's not quite as engaging. With that said, the maps are WAY better, the OP mechanics have been balanced and the gameplay has reached the pinnacle of perfection.

So I'd say it's tit for tat really. It's not quite as good in some respects but clearly better in others. There is no way you will not love this game if you loved Awakening

@DoctorOverbuild: FE7 (Fire Emblem on GBA) was a surprisingly impressive game. The mechanics were tight and unforgiving, the story eventually became gripping, and I immediately fell in love with several of the characters. Also, the maps and balancing were both excellent.

@Miss_Dark: Gameplay balance, maps, music, and art design are all quite a bit better than those same elements in Awakening. I do think Awakening has a more memorable storyline and character roster, however.

@Ralizah: Hep Eliwood's story completly owns Lyn's I'm on chapter 15 right now!
