If I could, I'd totally preorder it physically. Unfortunately, it's not financially possible for me. My friend, however, gave me eShop cards.

I have the physical version pre-ordered, but I'm still wary of the challenge of the game.

I have yet to find a game similar to this genre that can provide a decent challenge akin to Monster Hunter. Freedom Wars was too easy with practically unlimited revives and no penalty. Toukiden was cool but once again was too easy. FF:Explorers is a bit different of a game (more like PSO I suppose), and the comparisons to MonHun are pointless but I'd still like the challenge of MonHun to be present. I don't have high hopes for that, but we'll see.

I preordered the physical copy too. I am not sure I am going to like the game enough to download it from the eShop. But it should be interesting enough to play.

Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

Physical copy for me too.

Does anyone know what time it could be available on Tuesday in the US at Eastern Time? I don't remember at the top of my head another time a Nintendo game was released digitally on a Tuesday especially since there's no pre-order for the NA players.

I opened an FRiend Code Thread in the online section For Final Fantasy Explorers Come and trade Friend Codes with people. I Deleted more than Half of my Friend Codes so I have plenty of space for new friends.

Has anyone played this yet and are they enjoying it? Picking it up today, but worried about a few of the bad reviews it has gotten.

Sooo when did this come out? I found it at a store and I had no idea it was out already.

Anyway, I got it. Just because.

It's kinda like a simpler monster hunter.

Bloop.

@Morpheel: Came out today actually. It's kinda like a less clunky version of MonHun I guess.

@Fuhgeddit: I've been playing it all day. Dunno why some places are rating it in the 5s and 6s. It's a solid 7 for me. One of the common complaints is the lack of challenge, but I'm guessing they didn't explore the quest options. It's nice because you can artificially boost the difficulty to get better rewards. Some of the option include shortening the quest timer and even doubling monster health and damage. I've been one-shot on a couple occasions due to these options. Makes a decent challenge. There's insane levels of customization and that's always great for me who don't like being stuck into set builds. If you want to be a mage, you can be a Black Mage sure, but you can literally customize every single spell if you spend enough time. You can make Fire cause any and every status effect, plus heal HP/AP and increase area of effect and what not. Plus every single piece of gear can be modified as well with stat boosting additions. You can even mix and match gear and skills with the Freelancer job. It's pretty cool to be able to hold a sword and shield and still use healing, support and damaging spells.

@Jayvir: I'm loving the game so far. Once I got passed a certain point the difficulty ramped up a bit and was a nice surprise at that. To me the game is darn near identical to Phantasy Star Online except with more options to build your character. I would give the game a solid 8. If I had one compalaint its that the graphics look a little washed out at times. But it plays absolutely nice and is exactly what I thought it was going to be. If people think this is a Monster Hunter Clone they are going to be disappointed. You need to think more along the lines of Phantasy Star Online.

@Fuhgeddit: if you ever played Phantasy Star Online and liked it. You will like this game. The Tutorial Drags on a bit. The first 3 to 4 hours of the game is super easy. I mean super easy. There comes a certain point though after that when difficulty ramps up. I like the game since I'm a huge Phantasy Star Online Fan. The game is oozing with more charm than PSO ever did. I was hoping for PSO3D , well this is pretty much it, without the 3D. I thought no 3D was going to bother me and make me mad but it hasn't bothered me at all. I even think it looks kind of nice.

Thoroughly enjoying this game. It's a lot like MH, except I didn't get bored and put it down after an hour.

Also, to finally answer the thread's question, yes FF:E is available on the eShop.
