Topic: Eshop 2 year sale?

Now that eshop is 2 years old, and it hasen't show up any sales for the 3DS eshop. Although the eshop started on june 6th 2011 I can't remember a sale, like it was last year. Anyone know if the 3DS eshop will get a sale or not?

Is there a chance Nintendo will announce a 2 year anniversary sale?

Considering the 2-year anniversary of the eShop's launch was about 10 days ago, probably not. Maybe a promotion like last year's 8-Bit Summer, or just a continuation of consistent sales the eShop has had over the past few months, but I don't think there'll be a promotion related to the 2-year anniversary of the eShop.

An anniversary event (or at least acknowledgement) would've been sweet, but I'm pretty happy with the sales they've been offering the past month or two anyway. 3DS eShop has turned out to be pretty sweet. Hopefully sales are good enough that developers will continue to find the platform attractive in the future.

I am not saying the sales are not sweet, but a little anniversary sale wouldn't hurt. With maybe minis on the move, links awakening DX (already have that though), metroid and other Nintendo franchaise games to promote the 3DS eshop and Nintendo

Hope you dont mind me piggybacking this topic but was there ever any sales with the DSi games? Quite a hefty backlogue of games and some i'd gladly pick up at afew £/$ less... I wonder if any of them are really selling at all these days although im presuming Nintendo would need to set a price with each individual developer. Any information would be appreciated.

No sales yet, and when a sale comes, it usually surprises you. But every once and a while you'll see stuff like "Pushmo 10% off"
DSiware has never had sales. Nintendo have had promotions, where Photo Dojo, and Four Swords are Free. But never a sale.

LOL, what? You say Pushmo got a 10% off sale, and then say Nintendo never has sales. First of all, it was more than 10%, and several games on the eShop have been 30% to 50% off recently.

Half the people in this thread must not have checked the 3DS eShop in the last 4-5 months.

@MetallicDonkey - I like how you edited @Kyloctopus's comment to make it say something it didn't. In the second part of his actual comment, presumably responding to the previous commenter (@Andyv01, who asked if there had ever been sales with DSiWare), he stated that DSiWare has never had a sale, which, on the DSi Store on the DSi (and for DSiWare on the 3DS eShop iirc), is 100% accurate.

I can see where you may be mistaken, though. He didn't include a full line space in between his two paragraphs, or anything to suggest the start of a second, separate paragraph (like an indentation). The awkward line break between the second and third text lines on the comment tipped me off; maybe you missed it somehow.

@Birdman Ah, you are absolutely correct. I did not edit his quote for nefarious reasons...I simply misread the second part of his post, likely for the reasons you stated and because this is the 3DS forum.

So I take back my capital "LOL" and I'll just put a lower-case "lol" in there for his comments about eShop sales. He, like others who made similar posts, are wrong.

wow I've seen alot of sales in the Eshop and for some pretty darn good software. I bet they have listed 20 games on sale in the past 6 months. I would like to see them add some of the older DSiWare software on sale. Overall they have done a pretty good job in their On Sales section. It's better now than it was last year when they didn't have a sales section
