Topic: Donkey Kong Original Edition

I got both AA and CWP so I'm very eligible which is neat since I didn't even know about the promotion when I bought them. It does sting a bit to spend that much on a download but these are 2 games that I feel make much more sense to have on the system. The collector in me however is weeping so chances are very good that when I go the digital route with something, I will end up buying the physical version at some pint down the road just to have it. Years from now when I find these titles in a bargain bin for like 10 bucks, I'll scoop them up. I'm still a bit torn on Animal Crossing though. It would make tons more sense to have a game like that on the system but that isn't a game that I feel I'll ever find for cheap in physical form at any point in the future. I wish Nintendo had an option where you could buy the physical copy and then have a special code with it that entitles you to a download of that game for like an extra 10 bucks or something. That would SO be the route for me to take...

I will get Cross Words Plus for the DK game, but I have to save money for Wii U.

@TDK You must really love donkey kong to get a $30 game filled with crossword puzzles.

I think I might get Crosswords Plus too. I don't want Art Academy right now, Im not interested in Style Savvy, I want Paper Mario on retail, and I have absolutely no idea what version I plan on getting for Professor Layton

Meh, I almost rather wait for Miracle Mask and get the DK game then. Or maybe I'll download Art Academy to get it. Who knows? Either way, Nintendo is very clever with this strategy. Eff them.

@Anyone: Do you get a confirmation email or announcement on your account of some sort after DLing elegible games?

Game Boy Donkey Kong has the factory stage, plus 96 extras, and it's only $4 — way better than paying $30 for a game you don't want just to get a version of Donkey Kong that you'll probably only play for an hour.

I personally do want Paper Mario Sticker Star, so I will definitely be getting it and this version of Donkey Kong. Besides, shortly after the Wii U is released the eShop will have an account system, so it will be worth having a digital copy! Still prefer cartridges in general, but it's not so bad!

This, they should of given it to Freakyforms Deluxe as well.

Finally, I know now I'm happy to get Style Savvy without the ridicule. Don't judge me, the first game was a deep profound store managerial sim that rewards creative customization and persistency.

I never played Style Savvy but I like sims and somehow semi interested in this. What kind of things do you do?

I'd like to to get DK and I would like to have New AA digitally but I do not want to buy it at $30 so no DK for me sadly. I already have AA: FS and Colours! 3D digitally and I do want to replace AA: FS with New AA but $30 is too much for me when I already have 2 drawing apps. I'll just stick with the two I have, unless New AA goes down in price (and you know it will never).

I'm waiting for a review of DKOE before I decide to permabuy a game. Not that I'm not interested in those titles (I'll probably have Miracle Mask and Sticker Star by Christmas), but I'm still not convinced on the whole retail download thing, and I'm not sure how much I'll like my "incentive" to go Download.

@Anyone: How long it takes for a DL to appear on your CN account? Its worrying me I linked, bought CP and doesnt appear
