So while I was looking at the new spiritcamera for the 3ds I noticed a very strange accurance of me never actually using the camera on my 3ds. Maybe it's cause i hadn't been anywhere with good reasons to take pictures but I knew that wasn't the case I was simply just avoiding to use it. I probably haven't even touched that app since I got the new video camera functions, but other than that I haven't even once used the stop motion so I'm not sure if i'm the only one but I asked some friends and they hadn't used it either. What about you guys?

Yeah I have used it trying out face raiders and taking some photos and video the only drawback is the quality 0.6 mega pixel is like going back to early 2000 when mob phones started getting camera options. I would of went with a bigger screen over having the camera my mob phone is smaller then the 3DS and has better quality pics n video.

I dont really use the camera because it is only .6 megapixels:/
If it was a better quality camera that would make me and everyone else alot happier(HINT HINT NINTENDO)

If you put it on Low-Light and Brightness all the way up you can get some better pictures, it's not great but it helps reduce that hideous grainy look. Only drawback is, you have to use it in all lighting and although it says "Low_Light" it really doesn't help all that much in poorly lit areas, it's just drawing in more light and giving it more grain...

I would use them more if I had a reason to, but I'm either busy playing games, college, website design or something else. What's even more shocking is I live in quite a rural area so I could probably get some pretty stunning views of the world around me... but y'know, I'm lazy.

No...the camera is of TERRIBLE quality, and the 3D effect doesnt add much to any picture - it just seems out of place.

Every once in awhile. Despite the lackluster image quality, the 3D effect is unique enough to snap a picture or two every once in awhile.

Overall, I'm glad they added the camera. I like being able to take pictures in game (MGS3D has this option), and storing them to the album (which obviously wouldn't be there without the camera). It's also good for storing cool 3D art and screenshots found online (although Colors! 3D now has the art part covered).

PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I use it a lot!

The pictures are not all that bad, actually. The look bad in the 3DS because it zooms them in to fit the screen, losing the upper and lower parts of the pictures AND making them look bad.

If you slide the circle pad down while viewing one picture, it will de-zoom, they look much better like that, but they aways zoom back in after you view another photo.

I use it a lot.
A bad workman blames his tools.
Ok, it's not a full-fledge camera so you can't change the aperture or most things like you can on a professional camera but the 3DS is NOT meant to act as a professional 3D camera.

No, but I totally would if Nintendo introduced an update with some robust features to make up for the poor quality of the camera. I LOVE my Gameboy Camera and still use it to this day, despite the poor quality, because of all the awesome features included in the cart. Contrast and Palette settings, time lapse and animation, doodling and stamps, photo fusion, etc, etc, etc. If I could get into all the nitty gritty fun stuff, I would definitely use it more.

TwilightPoint has a... uhh... point... the 3DS can't take "stunning" photo's but it can take some pretty good ones. I only ever use it if something catches my eyes and I think "wow, that... needs to go in my 3DS album like right now." but those moments are few and far between because I'm too lazy to dig it out of my pocket, flip it open, press L/R, wait for it to load, steady the camera, press L/R, close it, put in pocket, carry on walking. It's just too much time I waste fiddling with the dam thing, not to mention you look like a right weirdo holding a DS with two hands up to the sky.

I love using the camera since I can store artwork on it, I can share my photo's with friends via Swapnote, I can upload pictures to the internet and share with everyone. It's just awesome to have it there. I don't care too much about the quality, I just want to take a photo and share it with mah pals. Along with Colors! 3D, you pretty much have a artwork home base on your 3DS, you can create it, export it, share it. It's simply awesome. There's nothing I would change about it at all, except for the quality, but even then that really isn't a big issue to me.
