Topic: Did anyone else notice...

If this is true, I find it funny that waveboy likes it so much, seeing as he's the most retro "gameplay is all that matters" kinda person on this site. Of course, the fact that he likes retro games so much also makes me laugh at his admiration for this new-fangled 3D stuff

@WaveBoy, yes that's one reason 3DS is so great.Vita may have good graphics now... but they will be plowed over with the 3d graphics of 3DS AND the HD graphics of Wii U, which is coming closer fast. Aslso, although that one good game with the good graphics is coming out for the Vita, that doesnt mean ALL good games will be good and, did you hear?, Vita 3rd party developers are going to 3DS now and have canceled Vita developing. My Mii is also correct, not misleading. I'm in my 20s. Really, if the Vita is what you like, fine. Either you grew up with PS or you just got into the gaming world, and the Vita was new and you thought, "Oh! Shiny!" The Vita isn't 3D, it may be powerful, but hey, power can do things IF USED CORRECTLY. In this case, oops, it wasnt. At least yet. If it makes a comeback like the 3DS, then that's great. Im still not buying one. Vita has technology that has alreadty been made. "Ooooo, a touchscreen on the back. I'll bet touchscreens are really new!" Anyway, if you are going to despise Nintendo and love PlayStation, then i dont know why you are on this website.

BTW. for me 3D is fantastic, with glasses or course and in big screens, the way it is implemented in 3DS is extremely annoying and useless as nobody might expect to have a handheld staying still in front of your eyes at a fixed relative position all the time, a total nonsese way to implement it.

Sony/Microsoft go with HD gaming while nintendo adopts the amazing strategy of keeping five year-old graphics, and all the nintenoobs say HD is useless.

Sony's next handheld goes all out with graphics while nintendo goes 3D, and all the nintenoobs say 3D is the best thing ever.

Nothing I haven't seen before. Fanboys tend to stay behind their favorite companies. It's nice to play games for the games themselves and not what consoles they're played on. That way you can freely insult any gaming company you want, because you're not sided with any of them

I actually I did better in Pilotwings when I turned the 3D off, since unknowingly the 3D was straining my eyes and making it harder to concentrate. There were still plenty of ways that one could easily judge depth without the use of stereoscopic 3D (scaling, shadows, etc.), and so long as I could still use them, I was able to do just as well, if not better.

Also, presentation improvements do not necessarily equal gameplay improvements. Once you get past the "awe-inspiring visuals" you still have a game that plays the same in 2D. Another example you might be more familiar with: HD made games "more realistic" and "more immersive", but at the end of the day, they still played the same.

But really, it's just a preference, and I don't see why people who have that preference are "crazy", especially when there's plenty of sound logic behind that preference.

Good. Competition always drives things to be better even when they're winning. Look at the SNES and N64.

@Waveboy It's a visual enhancement. Not a gameplay enhancement.

I've gotten 18. 3 from siblings 1 from a friend who lives down the street (But he's never owned a Non-Nintendo console. He doesn't count.). But still 14 from strangers, that's not half bad and with the 3DS out-selling the DS when it was this old means it could sell something like150 million (People could buy 3-4 DSs due to model changes. Hopefully that won't happen to the 3DS)

It doesn't change the gameplay. It changes how you see the gameplay.

The Wii U will support 3D? I thought Nintendo said it wasn't?

The 3d effect changes how you see the game, and this changes how you play the game. So ultimately the 3d changes the gameplay.

It seems my assumption was correct. Your opinion is not absolute!!! If I had adopted your way of thinking and got a Vita instead of a 3DS, it would've been impractical as the purpose of having a games console is to play games and including games both out now and upcoming the 3DS has more games that appeal to me than the Vita does.

After reading this, I don't think I can take your posts seriously anymore.

This comment frustrates me to no end.

When I signed up, there was no box I had to tick saying 'Are you a Nintendo fanboy?', 'Do you hate Microsoft and Sony?'. There are various reasons why someone would sign up to the site. Not everyone has to be a fanboy, and not everybody is.

Well, I tend to usually enjoy reading fanboy comments.
