And if you're thinking "the side needs more colour". Yes, I agree, that's because it's not finished yet. :3
This is great! I wish I could draw cars like that! I've been practicing, and I'm pretty happy with them, but they have some perspective errors and things like that.
It's quite simple though really, I use one piece to create the build for the car until I'm happy, copy to the camera app, take it to another piece and trace the outline.
Copy that back to the first piece and use it to see where I'm going to place everything until I'm happy.
It might be a lengthy process, sure, but that way I can see it where I want it without mucking it up in the first place, not to mention with the undo glitch I can lengthen the period before I run into that problem.
But mainly? I just draw it from an image on the computer screen as a guide.
Something I drew last sunday. Touched it up for better qualityin Photoshop and fixing a small issue with the glasses, otherwise, 99.9% done in Colors!3D. Posted this in the Nintendolife Artists Thread-
"Tilte: Yay 4 Ores!
Description: "After exploring a deep deep cave, a myriad of ores hang above. Abundant diamonds and iron ores! Best be careful- there's a Creeper peering through a small whole wanting to break through that wall! Always good to bring some company in case, huh?"
*Based on the popular indie video game, Minecraft by Mojang.

***Image was touched up in Photoshop to fix some things that I had missed before. Art was completely created in Colors!3D with very minor touching in Photoshop as well as softening of color coverting to an appropriate image file format."
There is some great artwork there. I can't draw much at all on Colors! but I was still happy that I bought it as there are plenty of people who can, so it's like a little doodle pad and an art gallery for me.
Wow those are amazing. I wish I was able to draw like that.
Would you recommend Colours 3d for someone who just likes to doodle, even if they are not great designs I make?
Absolutely, Colors 3D is the definitive graphics package for any handheld.
Simple doodling or complex digital artwork, it sports layers, an infinite number of undos, the ability to watch the drawing process, a rich selection of colours and opacity, use of 5 layers which doubles as a 3D effect, loading of photos for reference or tracing, and even being able to draw collaboratively with other Colors 3D users.
@BenAV I really can't complain. I think it looks quite nice!

I managed to get an eShop card so I bought Colors! 3D today. I haven't drawn anything in nearly a year, so I'm hoping I can get back my patron for art with this.

Don't discount Art Academy! Colours! 3D doesn't emulate pencil drawings, something AA does splendidly. Both apps have something to offer me.
