I can't speak for the demo 'cause I just went ahead and bought the full version, but I haven't found it boring at all!
OK so I just learned about Happy Points and am gonna try out my first job!
First piece of review:
So, I'm loving this so much! I don't usually like to jump into things without waiting for a review, but this was a great decision, I think!
So, the graphics are a major plus, you'll notice that right off the bat! I'd definitely put it up there with Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and Resident Evil Revelations for best graphics on the system.
And I love all the little interface things, too. I love how Chibi Robo stands on the bottom screen hitting the buttons on the PC as you make selections! It's a nice and appreciated touch!
And, my god, they've found a way to integrate AR in a cool, unobtrusive way! It's not just extra and tacked-on (like Kid Icarus Uprising) or the entire focus of the entire game (like the built-in AR games), but it flows very nicely and it's very fun! I love the way he pops out whatever you take a picture of, and looking for things to fit the silhouettes is really fun, too! It's neat how it integrates the real world into the game — it's really, really cool!
So, like I said above, I'm off to try my first job!
I'm waiting for reviews to see the amount of contet. The video made it look like an expaned camera/ar minigame. But if there'a something else I'll bite for $10.

@Prof_Clayton: So far I've played minigames, and taken pictures — but it's really fun, though! There's also the "Explore" mode, which has been interesting from what I've played so far...
Chibi Robo on the GCN was a game I loved but also had to admit the gameplay was pretty boring. Like at times it made Animal Crossing look like Bayonetta. I hope they fixed that.

Demo was fun albeit short in the sense that it ended too soon (right when you take your 2nd AR picture). First of, the team responsible for this game did a wonderful job with the shaders. Even though some of the models are a bit janky, the shading more than makes up for it. Can't say the same for the unstable framerate though... the hiccups are noticeable even with the 3D off, but it doesn't brake the experience for this type of game imo.
What I enjoyed in park patrol seems to have been transferred here so I definitely will get this one as soon as I can connect my system.
