Topic: Are Bikes in Mario Kart 3Ds?

Even if there are no bikes those hang gliders have already gotten my money. I'm still in amazed at how good those graphics look. It's almost as if the Wii Mario Kart was cloned onto the 3DS.

I agree. The trailer makes it look as good, if not better than the MK on the Wii.

and i can guarantee that the online is going to be awesome! does anyone know if you can customize your propeller for underwater? because all i see is the hang gliders, no propellers

keep the bikes away or mariokart3ds will get ruined like the wii.

I played Mario Kart Wii at Nintendo World and my friend cheaped out with a bike. What a mook.

What do I want to hear? Track editor, Waluigi Pinball remade in 3D, 8-player online etc.

The graphics are sure impressive. It looks more crisp than MK Wii, where the latter had some blurry, distance-shiny- thing going for it.

I'm really impressed with the coins being on the tracks! I never been able to play the original Mario Kart. My very first Mario Kart experience was Mario Kart: Double Dash and I liked that game a lot. It sure will be joyous reaching high elevations and then jumping off with the hang glider.

I'm also hoping that Moonview Highway will be featured in Mario Kart 7 as that is one of my most favorite tracks from Mario Kart Wii.

Between the wretchedly broken AI of the DS title along with the online abusers, and then the horribly handled bikes and bland courses of Mario Kart I'm to the point I'm unsure I'd buy the 3DS game. I can say if they can't keep the line secure and the bikes are required I'm out totally. I know the carts are there and they can pop a hang glider action if need be for long coasting areas in the pics I've noticed...that's fine. This one is on my watch and wait list, can't buy another game in this series blind ever again. If the 150AI cheats again or there are some really bad mechanics involved once more I'm done with the series, but if they handle it right as they did pre-mario kart 5 I'll grab it. It's Mario Kart anyway, not Excite MarioBike.

if you meant the Wii version, they were at least more original than Mario Kart: Double Dash or DS which mostly just used the same ideas for courses as 64

I hope they make the blue shell more common. The internet's reaction would be amazing.

Maybe they should make every item as broken as the blue shell, just to make the blue shell seem fair.

...Dunno how Mario Kart Wii was ruined...or how bikes even ruined it. I never cared for the bikes though, if they're in, woohoo. If not, then...woohoo. xD

All Mario Kart games are great. The wii version is the best and most succesful selling one yet. Gameplay wise I felt it was the best however, Track choices from past games were decent but not great. This new one should be great since Retro Studios is developing it!

I also thought it could travel on ground like the old Blue Shell and purposely goes through any other racer as well.
