I can hardly believe it's been made official. I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed the first two games. Never thought in a million years we would see another. I guess I probably liked them because it was sorta similar to Zelda. Only with Mega man. I stupidly traded in both the older games years back because I thought they were done with the series. Now I'm missing them. I wonder if maybe at least the first could end up on VC someday. A 3DS compilation rerelease of the originals would be nice.

The strange thing about that is it seems most people just didn't like the games much. The sales of the first two were so poor were damn lucky they even want to gamble with making another. Hope it turns out well.

I picked up Mega Man 64 sometime this past year and felt it was really stiff, but then again I only put about 40 minutes into it. It seemed like a cool idea, if a bit aged at this point. Brought up to modern standards, I think I'd be very interested in taking it for a whirl.
Interesting. I didn't play the second one much but I found them to be really unique games. There had a lot of charm due to the voice acting that sounded straight out of the dubbed anime we get outside of Japan (often dubbed in Canada I believe). The voice acting could be considered bad but it's almost bad in a really good way. It sort of brought me back to watching a lot of cartoons when I was younger. The graphics were pretty simple even for the time but it was still an enjoyable game. I'd like to pick the N64 version up sometime. The spin off game was also quite a lot of fun The Misadventures of Tronn Bonne.
@ Panda Yeah I remember being sorta disgusted with the graphics on the first ones even when they were new. It wasn't exactly on the cutting edge. If you give it a chance though it starts to hook you.

@Panda: don't judge the Legends series by MM64... if you want to play it the way it was meant to be played, get MML for the PSX. the N64 version was crap. :/

Well, I love adventure games, and I'm certainly not opposed to Mega Man. However I've never played any of the other Legends games. I'm certainly interested.

I loved Legends 1 and 2. And Jebby it's very nice to hear from someone else who played "The Misadventures of Tronn Bonne." Looking forward to Legends 3 for sure.
So what exactly is the difference between Legends and 64 then? Apart from controls, which I can't imagine feel much better on the PSX pad as they do the N64's. At this point it's just a clunky set-up. Aren't they basically the exact same content-wise?
Looking forward to Rockman Dash 3... Fortunately I'll be waiting on getting a 3DS, so I won't have to suffer all those months of owning a Tron Bonne-less 3DS. The world needs more misadventures, you know.
@theblackdagron I'd have to disagree with you, strongly. I've played both, it it's so much clunkier on the PlayStation without the control stick. They're basically the same game, but the controls on the 64 version make it infinitely better. I never did get a chance to play its sequel, and I've looked for it before on eBay, but it's ridiculously expensive. The Misadventures of Tron Bonne is even more expensive. I didn't even know there was going to be a third part. I'm really excited about that, but I hope I get the chance to play MML2 sometime before it.
I am! I am! Mega Man 64 was one of the best games on the Nintendo 64, and while I've yet to play the sequel, I've always hoped they'd make a third, especially since I hear the second had a cliffhanger ending.
I would be excited, if only there was some way for me to play the two first games.

I find this ironic. Didn't you say in that Sonic 4 interview that you didn't like cliffhangers?

I don't like Cliffhangers. Why do you think I've yet to play MML2? Mega Man 64 had no cliffhanger ending, and it was great. Now lets get another game with a conclusive ending, and it too will be great.
I really hope they rerelease the first 2 games (and Misadventures of Tron Bonne too!) as I LOST the first game (cries) and I never got the 2nd game.
I'm sure there are a decent amount of people who have never played the game so let me sum up why it is awesome.
This game was made all the way back in 1997 but had- Voice acting that was actually good. Really good actually. Some of the most awesome, fun villians EVER. HUGE AMAZING FUN BOSS BATTLES. No description can do them justice. It's like if the best Zelda boss battles gave you more freedom. And were robots. I think 50 weapons. (25 at least) The same high quality (as far as I'm concerned higher quality) as OOT. Some legitimately creepy dungeons.
And all together pure fun and for multiple reasons (being an early 64 bit game being a Megaman game) full of unexpected but welcome surprises.
Ive never played a Mega Man Legends but Ill start with this, or maybe we'll get Mega Man 64 before that
