The Ambassador Program is a sad reminder of how badly Nintendo screw up, and how much we over paid for the 3DS before the price cut hit.

I got the OG 3DS cheap, used and in good condition, so no buyer's remorse here. Just was happy I relied on those buyers who buy gaming units without looking at the current launch line-up.

I bought the 3DS soon after its release, so yes. In retrospect, it wasn't a very good decision, so I can't really complain about the Ambassador Program; not that it's a great apology either.
On another note, if they drop the Wii U's price hopefully they will handle it better this time.

I am! Personally, I could have done without the NES games, but am so glad I got the GBA games. Somehow, I hadn't actually played a fire emblem or metroid game before. Two of my favorite series now.
Is there any relation to whether a 3DS comes with a charging stand and it being an ambassador unit ?. (I presume they no longer do as they are now sold separately).
(Buying a copy of Pokemon / Animal Crossing / Zelda would be so worth it for me for those GBA games).
My nephew is not even allowed to use the eshop (For whatever silly reason).
