Do you need to have your custom patterns in your inventory in order for your paths to stay in place? I laid my path around my house and switched it with another path for my main street but my path around my home changed to the current one I used, why is that?

Yeah, you need the design to exist in your collection for it to exist in your town. For example, if you make Square #8 a red brick pattern and lay it around the town, redesigning Square #8 to a shirt would then convert all the red bricks in your town to shirt patterns.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

damn that sucks, I was hoping you could save your patterns at able sisters shop and just add more paths thanks for the help though
