I'm not downloading these updates, as they don't seem to do anything noticeable or worthwhile. Waste of my time and space on SD card.

I second this!

I third this!

Thanks for the info everyone... I had no idea there were even any updates yet!

They only need the additional space whilst downloading. Once its downloaded it replaces the original file.

I'm becoming a little reluctant about downloading updates, as they sometimes cause software that was working fine to no longer work. While I haven't had this problem nearly as much on Nintendo hardware (the Netflix update on the Wii is the only one I can think of that has caused the app to become more sluggish) as on my phone, it's still annoying that they can take something that works fine and then mess it up completely with a bad update. I still remember that Wii system update that accidentally bricked a lot of Wiis.

If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.

Nintendo Video sucks and needs to go.

I agree. I think that Nintendo needs to go the way of iTunes and Sony PlayStation Store. They should simply sell music, television shows and movies in the eShop so we can purchase and download them instead of gimmicking us with neat videos we can't own and keep in the Nintendo Video app. I really would have bought College Humor's Pizza Quest video.

It works fine, actually.
