Topic: 3DS update?

Did you recently purchase your 3DS?

Because those updates are from old updates from months ago.

-Home menu changes
-New FindMii and Puzzle Swap games
-Folders can now be created
-eShop is updated (New background, setting, etc.)

Those have already happened in the previous updates, you're a bit late to the party ain't ya?

I updated my 3DS. Nothing looks different to me.

I got my 3DS in December (2011). Does this mean that the 3DS updates are later than people who have it?? Because the lateset update I have had was the eShop, which was last night

I can see the bottom screen a bit more clear or something like that..

@shinesprite - Even if that info is accurate (I'm still doubtful on it since I haven't seen an official Nintendo press release on the update, if there has been one), that's still just behind the scenes stuff. I'm fairly certain the lack of # of characters you can enter on a credit hasn't impeded that many people from buying content from the eShop...

Apparently when you buy something it now takes you to a page of recommendations!

I don't know about anybody else but after the update my 3ds keeps freezing after about 10 seconds of been in the home menu or if I put it into sleep mode. :/

@SilentHunter382 That's never happened to me.

I noticed that in the eShop when you save your credit card details, the password can now contain alphabetic characters (possibly symbols too, but have not tested - I just noticed it gives a full keyboard now rather than just a numpad) as well as just numbers. Makes remembering your code that bit easier - and also that bit more secure

Did we always have the ability to search for games based on price? I swear I just looked a few days ago and didn't see that option, but maybe I was blind.

It now says "Available at your local retailer" instead of "Unavailable on the eShop".

It was there when the eshop was released.

Yeah, updated my 3DS earlier today when I was trying to reach the e-shop to see the new releases. It updated in mere seconds, didn't notice anything, but thanks to the Wikipedia article I now see basically today's update blocks some flash cartridges and provides game recommendations in the shop

Well the latest one let me update Donkey Kong Jr. at last, also below ratings there is a list of games of what others who bought the title picked up, not sure if it's been there a while or not

I wish they would let us make the folders of varying colours! That would be nice!

Thanks to everyone for getting to the bottom of the update. Do Nintendo even tell you via your 3DS what's updated any more?

Now ambassadors can update Zelda and golf, maybe that was part of it

I thought when Updates for games are available it's supposed to tell you as soon as you enter the e-Shop?
I just clicked Settings/Other and then clicked Updates and it said no updates for any of your software.
I then went to My Downloads and scrolled through and lo-and-behold Golf and Zelda had the yellow update banner...
WTF????
